Finally got the Gjallarhorn after 30+ days, 70+ RNG exotics!!!!
EDIT May 26th, I FINALLY got the Gjallarhorn on Tuesday, reset day. I did Crota normal 3x, Nightfall 3x, and Atheon Hard 3x, on my last Atheon encounter, on my Titan I saw it pop up. I was ecstatic! I had previously got a Dragon's Breath, Truth, No Land Beyond, and The Last Word, the same day from said previous activities ^
The curse has been broken! After 70+ exotics from RNG i FINALLY EARNED MY GJALLARHORN!!!!!
After having Destiny from Day 1, thoroughly enjoying the gameplay and raiding with friends, I've decided enough is enough. I just can't deal with how Destiny's reward system is based off of RNG. Whose bright idea was that?
After getting my 5th Universal Remote, and 8th Dragon's Breath from Crota Hard today i was like "F*** It, I'm done".
I've completed every Nightfall since day 1, every raid since day 1, including VoG and CE on Hard with all 3 characters for MONTHS IN A ROW. And yet this game STILL won't reward me with a Gjallarhorn, even after giving my friends their 3rd or 4th ones while I'm in the same game. Complete Bull****. 30 days of game time, F*** RNG.

NO ONE has worse luck than me. Tell me what are the "random" chances of THIS happening?
Let me know when you get 56 Exotic weapons, out of 15 possible weapons, and have them all be duplicates, and not 1 Gjallarhorn or Mida.

EDIT: Such a toxic community. For those of you showing sympathy and encouragement, I thank you. The community needs more people like you all.
EDIT 2: To the people who think I quit just because i didn't get the Gjallarhorn- no that's not true. Hunger of Crota is just as viable an option. What brought me to my boiling point was the sheer amounts of Dragon's Breaths and No Land Beyonds i got in this last month. It's so infuriating how RNG was seen as a good option for what could have been an amazing game.

I run with someone who has gotten like 2 exotics in all of his playtime, you're silly if you consider yourself unlucky. All those shards are gonna come in extremely handy for the new DLC! I have like 3 at any given time. I didn't hold the gally as the be all and end all of my destiny career, I can honestly say I barely cared about it. Dropped one off a nightfall a couple weeks back, next day ranked up cryptarch on my alt and got 2 legendary engrams from the rank up (rank 7) Boom Dragons breath and my second gally. It will drop for you man. Hell im still missing husk of the pit

Sweet....now you dont have to post in here anymore either. Its probably for the better that you aren't playing it anymore. It sounds like you have been quite obsessed with it. It is addictive, I agree. Lesson learned.....all things are not for all people. Now you can rise from that depression in your couch, open the door to the outside world, take a deep breath and realize that its just a -blam!-ing game.

I'm still missing 4th horse and thunderlord its a joke that an experienced player can still be left without things. Just because you're not as lucky as someone else could be? They locked me into house of wolves after stupidly buying the expansion pass. I will be doing the same after HoW, or during if it's on a par with TDB. I understand what direction there trying to take this game but it's just not the way I'd like it to be. I miss killing the invincible dragons all day to see how big a loot pool I could get. Now I sit here endlessly grinding to hear/see (prime example, deej) getting a -blam!-ing thunderlord for having a below average game in the crucible yet I don't get shit for beating all endgame content with LFG randoms in about 2-3 hours(every week). Battlefront will end my boredom though so there there is some hope.

Try another MMO and you'll realize that the loot is not so bad in destiny. The thing that I regret is the lack of weapons, side quest, farming, crafting... The only exotic weapons that you need is Gjallahorn, Thunderlord and Icebreaker in PVE. The rest is useless and you can loot better stuff in raid. So dry your tears and try Final Fantasy 14 arr : good luck on primals (especially Titan hm ...) !
