Are people really clueless about Red Death?
I enter a Crotas End Hard mode raid with randoms. Some guy checks out my gear, and says: "The Bad news is he's using a Red Death"
Epic face palm. Red Death is one of the best guns to use in Hard Mode Crota especially if you're the sword bearer because it regens health for every kill. You won't have to worry about orbs. Plus the recent buff makes it a beast. I guess he has no clue.
I really do hope Xur sells it so people can understand just what a beast of a weapon this gun really is. It maybe the best gun to have when House of Wolves drops just for the health Regen ability.
Edit: some people are missing the point. Not everyone has a Gjallarhorn, not everyone has a health regen helmet, not everyone generates orbs for Sword runners where they have to go and pick up the sword. Red Death guarantees a Sword Bearers survival against accidental damage from Thralls and Boomers. That is the point. Therefore, it is in fact not "Bad News" that someone uses a Red Death, at least you know they will not die randomly because they failed to grab an orb to regen health.

Honestly I've had multiple red deaths and never used them. To me they were ever good enough to take up an exotic slot, not with ice breaker and Ghorn around. And I've never run into a problem where I couldn't regen health, supers and armor do the trick.

I'd still rather use my gjally when I swordbear it means I can drop the sword bearer quick even if he decides he wants to have a picnic in the ogre tower, there's always orbs in the crystal room so I can heal there after every sword, shooting thrall mid run with red death sounds risky I don't want to drop the sword and kill thrall or spend time stood in one spot regening health that gonna get me killed

2 답변Eh.. Its ok. I run crota hard 10 plus times a week. And I've never once used read death. Everyone has their own style.

Who looks at what the swordbearer is using for guns? Might be the dumbest crap I've ever heard. Every class can regen health just by their spec. Blade dancer, void walker, striker can all regen health with melee or super. I never used my red death before the buff, I only use it in pvp because it rips ppl to shreds. Other than that I'd never use anything but icebreaker over gjallahorn for a weapon exotic.

There are so many ways to heal yourself within that raid, you really dont need to waste an exotic slot with Red death.... Unless you are lacking some serious gear, and need it to heal you as your only choice.

3 답변I'd rather use my word of CROTA and as a sword runner there's many ways to regain your health in hard mode all classes have different ways of regaining their health with out red death or suros

2 답변I wouldn't quit a raid simply because someone is using a red death. Especially the swordbearer... but you do have to acknowledge the damage difference between the ghorn and just about every other gun. Even the hunger pales in comparison. But if there's three 32s with maxed ghorns in the group, then I'm usually confident that things will go smoothly. The other three players can use whatever they want, IMO.

1 답변Ice breaker or gjallahorn are way better for your exotic slot. With red death all your doing is regaining your own health and helping no one. What I don't understand is people who have to use red death/ Suros the whole time. just switch to it when you need health get a kill and then switch back to a gun that is actually going to help the team out.

Red death is EPIC now. Especially if you're running hunter on HM Crota. Now all my other classes have regen health on orb pickup, my titan and warlock, and my lock has lifesteal, but for a hunter Red Death is EPIC when running the sword. Not to mention my hunter doesn't have any armor that regens health on orbs, but hes even better and so is EVERY class now because I have 2 maxed Red Deaths. Everyone can fully heal with every single kill, even lowly thralls. And lets not even start talking about the IMPACT red death has. Actually, lets stop discussing this now because I don't want to see more people knowing how godly this weapon is now. I run it with every character in HM Crota unless I'm not running sword on the occasions someone else offers to, and thats only because I prefer Gjallarhorn over Hunger of Crota because the wolfpack are essential for dropping him quickly and easily.

I'd use ice breaker anyway over that. I never have a problem with my health, I never need health and if I do there's 40 orbs sitting on the ground waiting for me. Or f it if might just blink stroke a thrall to get my full health
