HB 1747 would make it a crime of “disorderly conduct” for transgender people who have not been able to change the gender marker on their driver’s license or other ID to enter public restrooms corresponding with their gender identity.
HB 1748 would make it a Class A misdemeanor — punishable by up to one year in jail and a maximum $4,000 fine — for any person 13 years or older to use a restroom that does not match the “gender established at the individual’s birth or by the individual’s chromosomes.”
It would also make it a state jail felony — punishable by up to two years in prison and a maximum $10,000 fine — for Texas building owners to allow any person seven years or older to use a restroom that does not fit his or her birth-assigned sex or chromosomes.
Why is this necessary, exactly? What a gross invasion on privacy. Just let people go to the bathroom in peace.

3 답변I'll simply say no to transgenderism. I'm not going to explain why. I just don't like the idea of it. It makes me cringe.

4 답변작성자: RapidColt301009 11/15/2015 12:37:45 AMI don't get why gay rights and other stuff like that is such a big deal. Don't we have bigger things to deal with? Our national debt is outrageous, but so many politicians keep bickering about stuff like this, abortion, and a few other relatively minor issues in the grand scheme of things, wasting valuable time that could be used actually fixing the country. As long as gays aren't harming people they should have the same rights as everyone else, same goes for all the other more social issues that would not harm anyone should they be passed. Why is that so hard to process for some people?

41 답변Good. I detest transgenderism. It defies nature and tries to change what's normal. It's unnatural and quite frankly, I don't want someone like Bruce Jenner who says he still likes girls after all that garbage to be going into a restroom and flirting with my daughter. Hell-to-the-no.

3 답변Who -blam!-ing cares? This is the issue these days, we spend to much time on this shit instead of actual issues like immigration reform, fixing the economy, creating American jobs, how to stop terrorists, etc.

3 답변
Why is this necessary, exactly? What a gross invasion on privacy. Just let people go to the bathroom in peace.
I don't get it. If your whole argument is basically, "Who cares?" Then why don't you just go to the men's bathroom? Why do you feel the need to use the women's bathroom. It's the same exact thing.

3 답변The reason they won't let them change it on their IDs is most likely due to the fact that if those people have a medical emergency then rescuers would know their true sex and be able to help them appropriately.

8 답변I think that bathrooms shouldn't be gender based, but instead genital based. This way everyone is happy.

3 답변Texas is sounding better and better by the minute. I like it the direction they are heading.

Doesn't seem like an important issue, frankly, but I generally agree with the concept. However this sounds in ivory tower views, the reality is going to sometimes (not always) involve someone's wife and or daughter being alone in a room with a 50 year old not super stable guy with stubble and lipstick.

22 답변We need it because people are trying to use restrooms they don't belong in. You go to the bathroom for the gender to were born to.
