2 답변작성자: Senor Crouch 2/25/2015 7:14:23 AMIs it any surprise why Bungie, more specifically, DeeJ gets a never ending barrage of ever increasingly violent verbal abuse? Connellan touches on the primary reason behind this only briefly at the end of his article, the "lack of transparency" bit. Poor, if not lack of, communication from Bungie is primarily to blame. This isn't necessarily the fault of DeeJ, rather the balance of probability states that it is most likely the fault of DeeJ's superiors forcing DeeJ to keep things under wraps. As of right now the community know very little on the direction of Destiny. Ask any one of us the question, "What direction is Bungie taking Destiny?" You'd mostly get a bunch of "maybe"s, "probably"s, "hoping"s, and a whole wave of snarky remarks. Would any response be a definite? The community is fed so many mixed messages on a regular basis from the Bungie team. Take for example DeeJ's line, "Keep talking to us, we are listening." An average community member would imply that means "hey we want ideas from the community to help make our game better and more enjoyable for you all and those ideas that seem to be popular with the community will be ideas we get to work on first" Let's grab one of the more popular requests by the community which began late November of 2014. You will all recognize it as "MOAR VAULT SPACE." Such a request spread like wildfire on these forums, there wasn't a Guardian on here that wasn't talking about it. Since that time, Guardians have waited and waited and waited for any word that this want is being worked on. Oh sure we've all heard DeeJ tell everyone that the Dev Team knows that this suggestion is one of the most desired wants, but never once has he ever flat out said, "Yes we are working on it." Is this DeeJ's fault? Probably not, probably his superiors are telling him to keep it quiet. Does that help us any in our frustration and confusion about where Destiny is going? In the beginning, a large portion of the community assumed that they would be walking side by side with Bungie and evolving Destiny together. Fast forward to today with the way Bungie has alienated a great portion of its community due to lack of communication and keeping their community unformed, is it any wonder there are such hostile reactions from the community? At this point in time there is a faction of the community that feels not only betrayed, but very much burned by Bungie. (Cutting off the "entitlement" argument before it begins, to an extent most of the community is in fact entitled to a little bit of information about what's going on with Destiny, as we have all invested money into this ever expanding product. We are, in fact, investors of an ever growing product. As such, to an extent, Bungie should treat the community as Investors and not just fans.) It now feels like the community has to play as only Bungie sees fit, as if the community has to fight with Bungie constantly so that Guardians from all over can play the way they want to play. A list of examples could be formed to illustrate the above stated such as a mandatory Weekly Heroic Strike Matchmaking is getting developed before Raid Matchmaking, Loot Cave gets shut down even though a large portion of the community was actually enjoying it, and the list could go on and on. Bungie, in terms of what's coming down the pike, is acting as though they can go about how they did things back when they were working on Halo, where communicating with fans was not a big deal (barely a deal at all). However, when dealing with a game that is ever evolving, you cannot be as stingy with informing the community about stuff that is being worked on as if to wait for a big E3 reveal. It doesn't work with these styles of games. I would have assumed Bungie would have figured that out by now, but again I was mistaken. And honestly DeeJ, if your superiors are not going to allow you to properly do your job in keeping your community informed, you might want to consider following in the footsteps of the noble Joesph Staten and Martin O' Donnell. Clearly they saw what, we, the community are witnessing now.

I actually like the way the moderation is going in these forums. And I respect Bungie more for having a thick enough skin to let people speak their minds like the founding fathers intended, and I respect that they still remove/ban the worst offenders. Do you honestly think the forums would be a better/more interesting place if all the employees at Bungie were a bunch of thin skinned, sensitive narcissists that couldn't take criticism? They would never get anything done with this game because they would be too busy worrying about what other people think of them (or worrying about what other people think of other people like this thread does) Or should this place be more like, say, Guildwars 2's forums, where Anet claims to have the friendliest gaming community, by virtue of having an over-sized moderation staff that closes threads/bans people just for having an opinion because of a forum code of conduct that is very broad about what is and isn't allowed, and the act of asking them to clarify results in an infraction/ban?

1 답변I agree with the OP, however, kiddos blaming DeeJ and Bungie can't read, so this thread is semi-pointless, sadly.
