Do I Need Better Gear to Solo Weekly Heroic?
Trying to earn some strange coins so I can get an exotic, but finding it really hard to complete the strike. I've gotten to right before the boss and just can't kill the minotaurs.
I'm light level 25, so no disadvantage there. My load out consists of 3 rare weapons, and 1/2 & 1/2 crucible legendary plus rare.
Please don't laugh at me.
My [u]only[/u] legendary engram I've gotten turned out to be Unwilling Soul-07, and I don't engram farm nor complete every bounty every day as I don't have the time.
Basically, do I need a full legendary load out to run it?
EDIT: I think I may just grind my rep to get some legendary weapons, as my damage output seems to lacking. Thanks!
EDIT 2: Thanks to all offering to help me, but I figure I should probably grind for better weapons now than later. If I was 3 coins away from Ice Breaker then I would be taking you guys up. ;)
Also for the record I'm PS4.

4 답변There are so many people who genuinely want to help in the comments, but you keep saying no thanks! What's the real reason why? You don't need a mic for anything but raids. I would be one of the ones offering if u were on xbone. If you really don't like socializing that much you might want to consider a different game. All the best stuff this game has to offer pretty much requires it. And a mic costs 10 or 20 bucks. You done need anything special.

작성자: theune32 2/14/2015 5:57:26 PMI used to be solo for 95% of the time but your best bet when doing stuff solo is getting your weekly 100 marks. There are some very good weapons. Ldr from vanguard quartermaster is a very good sniper rifle. I personally love scouting rifles so i got one of them as well. But then you still need to level them which takes some time. There are some rare dark below weapons that can be 300 damage when maxed that might help. If you are geting frustrated you might consider getting some help and let people run you through NF and weekly for some coins, shards and energies or maybe even drops. 1 or 2 key exotics/legendaries make alot of difference /edit: good point below, armor is way more important then weapons. Well actually its the light level. Because of damage output and incoming being affected by level differences between you and the mobs.

작성자: Portagaz D Natsu 2/14/2015 5:41:53 PMYou need gear, not weapons, at lvl 25 everything will one shot you, it may say they are lvl 24, but you still have blue gear on so truth is you are not geared up to solo a strike (specially not Nexus). If you at least had a full set of legendary, even with a blue weapon at 24 they wouldn't kill so fast, but blue gear isn't meant to help you do the weekly, only daily and bounties at best. Also do try to farm Tiger strikes, with enough you could buy 3 pieces of legendary gear from Vanguard.

5 답변forgot to add - a guaranteed way to get 5-8 strange coins a week is do a gold public event each day with each character (without fail) - then save the postmaster package you get until Friday once Xur is in the tower - then open all 7 packages for each character - that nets me 5-8 strange coins from the packages.

It's a one way conversation for the most part, but at least you have SOME communication if anything is to happen. Also, your gear is fine for solo, just be sure to have a void weapon to make it easier with the mini's. You don't need a full legendary load out to solo a weekly heroic. Do you have a hand cannon by any chance? May work better than that AR.

5 답변buy some legendary guns - your just making life difficult by not doing so: [b]QUICK WAY[/b]: its dead easy - you can earn 100 vanguard marks a week - if you have none this week then get to Earth and do around 25 public events (must achieve gold rating) - sounds a lot but that will give you around 100 vanguard marks. Then on Tuesday this resets back to zero so you can earn another 100 vanguard marks from tuesday for the week - but you only need 150 vanguard marks to buy a legendary gun from your Vanguard guy. Use the destiny public event tracker to see when events fall - you can often do a few events on earth then if there is a spare 15 mins before the next event check the moon as one might be happening there before going back to earth. Destiny public event tracker - http://destinypublicevents.com Vanguard Legendary weapon cost 150 Vanguard marks, gear cost between 75 to 150 marks. You also occasionally get a strange coin from the tower package for your first public event - so they will gradually add up so you can eventually buy a exotoic gun or armour. YOU MUST be Vanguard level 3 to buy Legendary Weapons and get a Vanguard Commendation (these are given when you go through each vanguard rank ie 3,4,5 etc.) - if you are not Vanguard level three then fastest way is do the daily bounties as they will level you up quite quickly. [b]SLOW WAY[/b]: - when you do a public event and it is gold you get 4 vanguard marks - but if it is the 1st event of your day then you also get a package in the tower which gives you another 2 vanguard marks (so 6 in total) and a mote of light/shard/coin. So that is 6 for the first gold public event of the day - then do two more public events that day - this gives you 4 more vanguard marks per event. So in total that is 14 vanguard marks a day for 3 gold rated public events. This means 98 vanguard marks every week for just three public events a day. [b]Tiger strikes[/b] - one after the other get you 6 marks per completion - so when you are ready for them they can fast track your vanguard marks as well.

If you can get to the minotaurs you can solo the strike. Where is your spot? You are a warlock I see so the best spot is the area to the left after you enter. I had trouble when I used either the top of the cliff or the pillar off to the right to try and solo but above the area to the left is pretty protected and easy.

Lvl 24 strike with that load out is definitely possible it's still going to take you time though. It's gonna take a lot of ammo and patience you should look up on Youtube how to solo the Nexus strike. I could explain but, I don't think it would very clear with out images to show where you should take cover.
