Lore Experts only Please!
To debate one must know both sides of the argument, not just one..
-Some awesome guy who debated
MAJOR EDIT!: So many of you don't know Halo lore. As I said, only people who know both sides. Read the Halo Forerunner Saga guys; the Flood aren't just space zombies
Edit: So some people do not know Lore lol.
The only way to stop the Flood is to rid the Galaxy of life.
Edit 2: So people are saying that the Vex has a chance, well no they don't. To win, the Galaxy has to be rid of knowledge. The Vex have knowledge.
Edit 3: For the haters who do not know what the flood is, it's an enemy from Halo.
Edit 4: the only way to stop the Flood is something called the Halos. Destroy every living organism in the Galaxy or Universe. They feed on Knowledge.
That's what the Halo's are. The ultimate weapon of destruction. The Halo's are activated by something called the Ark. The Halo Rings send a blast of energy faster than light.
It can kill every living thing in our solar system in a fraction of a second just to give yall an example. :)
Edit 5: for those who still think the vex will win. Here is how the Flood will stop them.
You know that white core? Yes? Will that has bio cells(living organisms) the flood controls that. May not be able to control the body, but they can control the mind. Thus that knowledge gets sent to the GraveMind.
Game over Vex
Edit 6: If you guys read Lore at all. You would know that the Traveler is Master Chiefs ghost.

2 답변To add to the vex argument... They do NOT all share a collective mind. In fact, the have multiple "sects" or "factions". Also, op is too biased in his opinion of the flood with all the wealth of knowledge available for the halo series trying to compare it to the poorly written lack of information available about destiny to logically argue any point.

6 답변작성자: MourninAnathema 2/12/2015 4:14:41 PMEnemies of Destiny would definitely defeat the flood. The moment it looked like the flood would win the fight a game breaking glitch would cause them to not be able to complete their task forcing half the flood to wipe, the other half gets attacked by the Darkness' secret super soldier weapon: Marion Berry. They're now forced to re-install an update that they've downloaded 18 times already, the remaining flood re-spawn in the Vault of Glass, Atheon teleports them to the past but a glitch teleports them with detainment fields, nobody is alive on the other side to activate the portal so they all succumb to Oracles. The game glitches again and they are stuck on black screen forcing them to hard restart their Xbox Ones. After starting up Destiny again BAM, Marion Berry. They now all have to reinstall the update, half get sick of it and rage quit. The Flood then spends the next 2 weeks on the forums complaining about Xur not selling the Gjallarhorn or heavy ammo synths as well as begging Bungie to fix the glitches so it would be a fair fight. Instead they sit back for months watching Bungie clean cheese off Crota's grill and nerfing assault rifles simply because the Flood love using them. The flood trades in Destiny to Gamestop for $4 which they subsequently use to pre-order Halo 5: Guardians. Destiny enemies win.

8 답변작성자: FatrickPay 2/12/2015 4:37:56 PMThe flood would obviously win. The people who built the halo's knew that the only way to stop them was to blow up a very large portion of space if the flood escaped the containment halo. The Cabal might have a chance because of their armor suits though. If the mites couldn't infect then.... Edit-the flood wouldn't be able to infect the Vex or Exo's as they are robots. So it's kind of a toss up.

2 답변작성자: Hyypa 2/12/2015 1:52:36 PMThe first Gravemind is a precursor which triggered the birth of the universe. If the Vex could somehow go back in time outside the Vault (although there is nothing to suggest they can, and if they are able to do that then they would have no opposition, including Guardians) and kill the first Gravemind, they would be wiping themselves out in the process. TL;DR : The only way to stop The Flood is by 'starving' them. The Vex could only exist if the first Gravemind did. To kill The Flood, The Vex would have to cease to exist. The TL;DR was TL;DR : Flood wins.

3 답변작성자: LuGetsYou 2/12/2015 2:26:58 PMAbout edit5: don't the vex share one mind? So as soon as one vex would be "infected" by a flood spore it would be game over vex, wouldn't it? #floodmasterrace

15 답변Crota's fortress and the Vault of Glass exist out of time. They are just themselves. Let's start with VoG. The vex are no problem, exept Templar. He's the mind of them. Mindless, the flood will never get to him. And without the mind, even infecting the vex will do nothing as the Templar would just re-convert them or destroy them. Even if the vex fail it sacrificing themselves, the oracles would destroy them. The oracles are not machines, or organisms, they are pure nothingness that decides what stays and what doesn't. The flood keeps coming in just to keep getting destroyed. Eventually their ranks are nothing. They can only live outside of the vault. Say they get past the Templar by slipping through the cracks under his nose, the Gorgons will find them. They aren't smart enough to not try to destroy them. The flood could consume the vault by infecting the Gorgons. But the Templar will always survive. Awakening the throne is no problem for the flood, neither is Atheon. But they wouldn't make it that far anyway. Now Crota. Pit? No problem. And all the thralls would make for an army of flood. Bridge might be harder. Who knows, really. Can the flood activate the bridge and get s sword across? Up to chance. Crota, though is an issue. One spore dies, Oversoul. Everything dead. Done. Again, they keep coming in to get destroyed. The flood will eventually run out. Darkness wins. Fallen and cabal are totally -blam!-ed, though.

3 답변It wouldn't matter. Master chief comes in, shits on everyone. Lights a fatass cigar, floats a keg of whisky, and slays every piece of pussy on earth. Finally, he rides off into the sunset on the back of the dragon from reign of fire. The End.

작성자: Wildcard1701 2/12/2015 9:31:13 PMWell let's see. On the one hand you have an intergalactic parasite that feeds on sentient life and can't be killed except by starvation (i.e. wiping out all sentient life). On the other hand you have at least 4 groups of intergalactic sentient life, none of which are the Forerunners. I think it's safe to call this an unfair fight with the overwhelming advantage going to the Flood. To put it another way, it would be like a family of obese rednecks from a trailer park in the midwest versus all you can eat wing night at the Golden Corral. Smart money is on the fatties, and thus also on the Flood.

2 답변The flood mutated and became the Hive! The grave mind became oryx and he had a son named Crota! End of discussion

2 답변Vex could solo flood lol electronic minds can't be introduced to any disease. Also even if the flood can fight atheon and another vex god could kill the who flood. I am sorry for people who think other wise but look at the facts flood could kill other enemy's as I'm hive, fallen, and cabal, but vex!!! Heck no
-
1 답변I could understand the fallen, cabal, and maybe some hive getting infected but vex are just machine. Flood wouldn't stand a chance against oracles, hydras. Minotaurs, and other large enemies
