Myth busted
Recently I had heard a rumor that waiting until the "game summary" after defeating Crota would enable an "extra" chance at an exotic weapon.
This is false.
Our whole team agreed to monitor the left side of the screen, after we beat Crota, to see who got the exotic drop. One guy got the Gjallahorn that appeared on the left side of the screen. Then we waited.... guess what?
The only award that appeared in the game summary was the Gjallahorn to the guy who already got it. No he wasn't awarded two Gjallahorns. This myth is busted!
Edit: I've had several replies saying that they waited and got a drop after NOT seeing it drop on the left or at all. Is it possible that there's just too much crap scrolling through that it didn't pop initially. I just hate the thought of mindlessly waiting for no reason at all. Maybe this should be a poll? Lol
Edit 2: It looks like no matter how many test runs I could do for this will get any kind of reliable results. Seems like experiences vary with no kind of logical explanation. I still believe it's false
Edit3: You guys are awesome! Sounds like yet another broken piece of the game. Just to clarify, the guy who got Gjallahorn did not see it in his inventory until we had gotten to orbit.
Edit 4: Some of you are just silly. Do we really think Bungie gives you another chance at an exotic just because you waited for 5 minutes doing nothing? Server lag/ a splurge of rewards will delay the "pop" we all love to see.

This has kinda happened to me playing crucible. At the end of a match it shows that I received no rewards but when we get to orbit, a reward pops up on the right of the screen the same way it does when you get a reward. I would say that I've seen this happen about 5 or 6 times. Probably just another glitch.

9 답변I thought it was false until last night, we beat crota hard and got our rewards. I got glow shader, word or crota, energies but not one exotic. We waited for the rewards screen to pop and I got Suros, I had already looked at all my rewards and it was not there before hand. It does work but it's rare as hell, I have waited so many times and no one has got anything.

Yeah people don't realize that if you have your inventory slots full then the text won't appear for you and then it goes to the postmaster. You never just get a blue or higher rarity and it magically disappears.......just save yourself the 5 minutes and go to the postmaster.

12 답변I have busted the busted myth. It DOES show any exotic received by the Crota drop. It ALSO will have a random chance (just like everything else in the game) of rewarding 1 additional person an exotic weapon. It doesn't happen always, and I have seen it happen a few times. BUT NOT EVERY TIME.

5 답변Sorry bro but this so called myth is true. One guy on our team received a ghorn after beating Crota. We then waited for credits and three others received an exotic weapon. All together we got red death, suros regime, Ice breaker(my credit win), and the Gjallahorn. We all were tripping out when we got them. We all only saw gjallahorn pop up btw. Plus I didn't get the exotic from beating Crota. We got them for our reward screen.

Oh dear, this myth is so dumb. Sometimes your exotics don't show on the left side of the screen. Happens with nightfalls and weeklies and regular strikes too. Stop being dumb, people. Same with the spirit bloom chest in VoG, it doesn't do shit.

OP, you need to close this thread. The more these idiots wait around after games, the less likely we are to run into them. Clearly they are not intelligent, therefore we are better off not being stuck with them in our games.

19 답변It's a 2% chance drop rate.... No matter how much testing you do, the likelyhood of you actually finding out are extremely low. 2%, to be exact. That's you testing this out 100 times and still only having a 2/100 chance that it will happen, and even then, it's not guaranteed. This is a useless test, and def busts no "myth"

So we waited after that raid and no one got anything. Did another normal raid with a different group and told everybody about this. So we waited the 4 minutes and 2 of us got exotics. I got NLB >:0 Still, it's something, and proves that this does work. Edit: maybe it does scroll too fast. How come none of your other rewards show up in the post-game screen, then?

I got no land beyond.. Didn't see it on the initial drop, waited and stuff around for a few minutes after crota. Left to go back to orbit and then it dropped into my inventory and appeared on my screen (picture on the right hand side) like it does when you finish a nightfall. Surprised the hell outa me.. I only received radiant energy from crota initially.. And this was on normal. So wasnt expecting anything else.

16 답변This rumor is true. You can look at my recordings on Xbox. No one got no land beyond and when the rerolls come around I got one. Just because you tried it once and it didn't work, doesn't mean it isn't true. It doesn't happen every time, just like you don't get an exotic every raid run.

To all the idiots that wait...no...it doesn't give you extra exotics or anything...exotics will pop when you go to orbit. If you wait and got an exotic, it means you got one as soon as Crota was dropped. There was no need to wait. Anyone that waits have been confirmed to be 15 year-olds that couldn't pass Algebra I.

Him: let's all wait because we have an extra chance for an exotic, did it earlier and some friends got exotics so whatever you say isn't true. Me: you're wrong buddy, this isn't true, the feed either goes to fast or like the night fall, after killing the final boss you get the mission name popping up along with the active modifiers covering up the bottom left half of the screen where the rewards pop up. Him: no, we got exotics and they didn't show up in the feed, if you all want to leave then make me fire team leader and don't take me to orbit and I'll wait by myself. [spoiler]kicks him[/spoiler] Me: ^

Also need to remember that if your primary/secondary/heavy slot is full and you get an Exotic (or any weapon) then it will not show up until you go to the Tower and visit the Postmaster. Was happy to see an Exotic waiting for me there last week after I beat Crota on Hard. Well, I was happy until I saw that the yellow emblem was for the No Land Beyond. I just left it at the Postmaster.
