Just that simple, the abilities take too long to kill, and if you self revive it's likely you'll just get killed again. What I've seen happen a BILLION times is that rather me or someone else kills a lock, they revive, and die again.
Edit: Thanks for the support ✌️
Edit: Sunsinger's good for hard raids... Not much else. Just use voidwalker, it has blink going for it XD
Sunsinger Sucks in PvP
I respectfully disagree. I've participated in the last two Iron Banners and played almost exclusively as a sunsinger. The fusion grenades are very good. Equip Claws of Ahamkara and your Scorch melee (which is already impressive) becomes devastating, both offensively and defensively. Equip Heart of the Praxic Fire and you become a grenade machine. Although I suck at PvP, I make myself useful by speccing into Song of Flame so that I can use Radiance not only to become a grenade machine but also to recharge teammates' supers and melee abilities. I see your point about Fireborn, though. Yesterday I double-killed several fellow warlocks (kill warlock --> stand off to the side --> wait for warlock to self res --> shotgun blast to warlock's noggin).
-
Don't use fireborn in pvp. Radiant skin is so much better. Fusion grenades are one hit kills with very generous aim assist. Coupled with gift of the sun and voidfang and you spawn with 2. Or use claws with a strength build and have scorch shield for days. I play voidwalker in pvp, but I've had my ass handed to me multiple times by a good sunsinger.

2 通の返信I t-bagged a sunsinger lock. He self-rezzed. Got my balls burnt off and he blasted me in the face with a shotgun, then proceeded to t-bag me.

I disagree.. The fusion grenades kill the player if it gets attached.. When your discipline is maxed and have double grenades, you can throw them every few seconds. And for the revive part , you gotta know when it's a good time.. You just have to know how to use sunsingers.
-
If they use radiance instead of fireborn so that they are harder to kill it can be quite devastating. It's not the subclass that sucks, it's the players. Experienced players could wreck you with any class if it's one they enjoy. Is it as easy as the others? Maybe not
-
I wreck in PvP with my sunsinger. Claws of ahamkara, and Crota head and chest with IB legs, all with big strength bonuses so I have 2x melee that constantly recharges. So I use my felwinters and melee because melee is 1 hit also
-
I would like to disagree, ppl just keep using the same abilities instead of switching them up along with your exotic armor pieces that are very decent, the only thing I hate is FoH when I use scorch on them because they don't die.
-
ArcanumStormにより編集済み: 3/23/2015 6:43:30 PMI disagree. I have been wrecking with my sunsinger in IB. I do NOT use self revive though. I use radiant skin to reduce incoming damage, double grenades. Being able to spam fusion grenades into a group is pure boss. I also uase Claws of Aham. for Double scorch burn, and fire shield on scorch burn also. It is a badass mutha -blam!-in class.

3 通の返信Same goes for PvE,self rez even if im right next to them. Most sunsinger are trully bad and use this ability to self rez every 5min,pathétic.
-
Sunsinger sucks? Maybe you're just... well...I have yet to play my Lock in PvP but if you think Radiance + Half damage perk w/ Praxic Fire grenade spam and atleast 2 1/2 melee charges suck well I hate to see what you think doesn't suck lol
-
3 通の返信Or You're just Bad with it. Firebolt grenade, radiant skin, viking funeral, touch of flame. I eat bullets for breakfast, lunch and dinner as a sunsinger and I'll make sure you're properly melted when I'm done with you.
-
I never got why locks did the self rez in PVP. I think either of the other 2 abilities would help the team out 100x more. If you get good at sticking people from afar, the super for that spec can be pretty deadly. I think both specs has their pros/cons so it is just up to the user. (except self rez....)
-
It's situational. Pretty useless for Clash or Rumble but on Control it can be the difference between win or lose. Playing yesterday - defending a flag, got blown out by a attacker. Self-revived and took him, and his two buddies out. Flag and points saved.
-
1 返信I prefer to use SS in pvp. Turn off radiance, run HoPF, and let the fusion grenades fly. Who over self revives in pvp is a scrub
-
Radiance is one of the hardest to use pvp supers, but the subclass in general makes up for it with firebolt nades + viking funeral + grenades ignite enemies. Use void fang so use always spawn with one and profit.

Gotta use right. Having the claws that give double melee helps with self res. Have to time it too. Some people self res when a bladedancer, gunslinger, or heavy weapons guy just killed them so they die again, instead of saving and doing it by suprised. I've taken out groups with it. Just gotta know how to plan out things.
