Was it necessary? The low impact autos suck balls. Even Suros isn't the end all. Just doesn't seem right.
I think the 2.5% base damage nerf will now put them in the rung occupied by pulse rifles as they will now be vastly superior weapons.
Edit: Just to remind people what should be the ultimate weapon in the game (nechrocasm) is now even worse with this patch.
I don't understand the mindset of people who look at something and say "oh that's quite good and lots of people love using it, lets make it bad".

1 返信Good ol' days where Suros did 43 damage on a headshot... It is still OP though, I use it myself.
-
Suros will still pull 36 precision in Pvp which is fine lol honestly just reduce 2.5% to the precision damage ur rifles do in crucible to know the result and add 9.7% to your pulse rifles precision for similar results please spread this so the community stops complaining

2 通の返信ISHALLNOTBEBEATにより編集済み: 2/6/2015 10:38:11 PMThe nerf will averagely reduce pvp damage from autos by 0.7. Suros headshot damage will be reduced by 1. It's not that big of a deal

22 通の返信In PVP it was. Nerfing the DPS allows them to do two things. The can re-adjust the impact ratings for PVE without affecting PVP as much. It also makes people select other weapons. The facts are there. By almost 2-1 people are using Auto Rifles over ANYTHING ELSE. Yes they needed to fix that. They aren't trying to break it. They are trying to make the game better. ALL WEAPONS should have benefits. Currently, some are way more beneficial to others. Pulse rifles should be medium range death dealers. They are useless. Not enough damage/impact. Shotguns can do ridiculous damage, and some of them, and some fusion rifles have INSANE amounts of range. 6 streams of bullets in a fine grouping from across a map is not appropriate when fusion rifles are meant for maximum damage but a short range. Your point is more about whining and less about game mechanics.

2 通の返信Well, in pvp it was the most dominate weapon of choice. Takes hardly any skill to use them and the other weapons need a fighting chance next to it.

2 通の返信Gift3dにより編集済み: 2/8/2015 10:23:44 PMThey said the damage reduction won't be the same for hrof auto rifles, and there's still a week or two until the patch is release so we don't know if they're gonna through in a buff to the Necrochasm or whatever else will be in the update. I think it's safe to say wait until the update is released before anyone passes judgment.

If I see people in PvE with Autos other than Suros I always have to laugh. Yesterday I accidentally joined the Roc-playlist with my Hunter(barely 24 or maybe even 23 there) and got matched with a Fireteam, one was a 29, the other a 23, both with Auto rifles. I was using my TFWPKY, IB and HoC. As you know your dmg sucks if you're below the mobs' level. The 29 knew what he was doing yet I still managed to kill twice as much as he did. The TTK in PvE is ridiculous. The time it takes you to kill a single mob is enough for me to kill at least two(a ton more if they are in groups, all hail Explosive Rounds).

2 通の返信Let's do some math, shall we: If your auto-rifle fires 40 rounds, and given you are within its range drop off point, each rounds strike the body of your opponent for 82 damage, but you do that 40 times before you reload. You are now doing 3320 damage per magazine. (I'm not including critical shots because I don't know the modifiers and I'm just proving a point) Now let's do that same math, but with our 2.5% nerf calculated in. (Aside from the fact that it isn't a blanket nerf of 2.5%, we will argue this particular weapon is the perfect average of all its brothers). 83 damage minus 2.5% gives us: 81 damage per round. Multiply that by 40, we get 3240 damage per magazine. In conclusion, you will see pretty much no difference in your TTK with an auto rifle so long as you are attacking from mid-close range, which you SHOULD have been doing anyway...

5 通の返信they are trying to balance out primaries, but all they are really doing is making specials stronger

9 通の返信Sky is fall!!! Average gaurdian health is 200 in the crucible. If the current headshot damage on top half of Suros Regime is 36, it would take 5.55 rounds to kill some one (6 rounds). When we lose that 2.5% damage, the new headshot will be 35.1 (so 35) meaning it will take 5.71 rounds to kill someone (6 rounds). So after this nerd it will take 6 headshots to kill some one instead of 6 headshots!!! SKY IS FALLLLLLLLLL!!!!! Assuming he is a titan with MAX armor stats and max level in iron banner (220ish health) it used to take 6.11 (7) rounds to kill them. Now it takes 6.28 rounds (7) to kill some one. WHAT EVER WILL WE DO!?! END IS NOW!!!!!

Its bullshit for a dev to constantly change the fukn goalposts gettn pretty fukn sik of it coupled with the fact ps gets exclusives and new dlc gets pushed back ...starting to think bwt retiring my game in all honesty

1 返信Is anyone else pissed off at the fact that its gonna nerf the Khostov as well? like why.....
-
1 返信Because pulse rifles weren't being used so bungie has now deliberately nerfed auto rifles to force players to use other weapons ! It's a ridiculous thing to do! Just ridiculous tactics if you ask me!!!
-
3 通の返信Remember all the stuff that Bungie broke with the last nerf? How about when they nerfed exotics and screwed that up too. Now, instead of bringing the damage of pulse rifles UP so people would use them, they are going to nerf everything else DOWN. Brilliant strategy and a great way to break more stuff. I got $5 that says we'll need another patch to fix the upcoming "update."

6 通の返信Lol kids see a 2.5% Nerf and are quick to think it's a lot. Stay in school kiddies. I'll educate you a bit.... If they said 25% then you can cry like a little bxtch about it. But do you notice the decimal in between the 2 and 5? There is a difference there. Now use your peanut sized brain to figure out the rest.....
