If you're saying Hardlight is a good weapon, you're a noob.
Do I even need to explain this one?! Every one with a decent understandig for the game knows why. And no it's not situational either. Why do I have to go through all this "Hardlight Master Race" posts?! Are you just stupid or is this some kind of joke? I get that it's pretty, but that's it.
Edit 1: Lol okay I have to leave now, but seriously, if you take it into a raid and I have to explain to you why it's bad, you must have some kind of brain damage. Also love the noobs with the: "lol you just suck with it posts", thanks for proving how ignorant you are.
Edit 2: Came for another round today since you guys keep it trending. A lot of comments are hilarious I have to say that. So today I wanted to give a little explanation, because a lot of people don't seem to get it and claim all the same stuff again and again. So here we go.
1. Hardlight is an auto rifle. Auto rifles are bad for pve compared to hand cannons or scouts. The high rate of fire / low impact makes it even worse, you really should know that by know guys. There really is no opinion here.
2. Let's talk about pvp. The main perk "volatile light" is for people who can't hit their target. The better option than shooting a wall would be to actually aim for the head, same goes for pve. (really can't believe I have to say this). Some of you claim it's good for cqc. No it's not. It's outgun by the vex, last word or any low rate of fire / hight impact auto rifle.
3. No it's not the best weapon for the first CE encounter. Right answer in one word: Fatebringer | secret edit: Ice Breaker, Mida users are welcome as well ;) Actually I don't give a -blam!- about what you use for the first part.

Edit 4: No it's not really an opinion. Is No Land Beyond a good pve weapon? No real opinion there either. You saying it's good won't make it better.

You saying it sucks wont make it suck. Hell I could say the gallarhorn sucks 1) because it makes players lazy 2) because it requires heavy ammo 3) because its perk means you dont have to aim But just because I throw out some bullshit doesnt make it true. I promised myself I'd use it for the lamps on hard mode. Then I ended up soloing every time for my group. It was my first exotic weapon and I used it for the first raid I did. It was bad so when I got VoC from my next raid I put it in the vault and it's been sitting there ever since.

6 通の返信I think hardlight is meant for pvp. Although I've used it in pve but never for a raid. Strikes and free roam I might use it for kicks. Same with pvp. Personally I like hardlight, however it really is outperformed by other auto rifles. One more thing: I've killed players in pvp with hardlight while they used a vex or suros and I won 8/10 of those times. It really is about skill. Hardlight will melt through armor like nothing. I still prefer suros over it though.

Hard Light is definitely one of the weaker weapons in PvP. The optimal setup requires you to spec it for damage and stability, at the cost of a severe range reduction. This places you right inside the effective range of fusion rifles and shotguns - weapons that are very common in PvP. Volatile Light, while a useful perk in PvE, is not as beneficial in PvP. Ricocheting shots is largely impractical and the overpenetrating rounds are extremely situational, as it's uncommon to find players directly lined up long enough to deal significant damage to both. I really like Hard Light; it's one of the only AR's I really use. But, it's really not that good.

Personally, I think it has it's place, but it's not the end all for me. Of course, weapons are all personal preference. I enjoy Hard Light in the Crucible, but again, I don't have SUROS, so there's that. In PvE, I'd generally prefer a scout rifle or hand cannon. Having Another NiTC with Outlaw, Hammer Forged and Firefly helps too, lol. As well, Fatebringer is still a great primary choice.

1 返信Didnt even read your opinion. The first time i beat crota on hard mode, day 1 i might add. I was using the hard light. Have fun being to shitty to use it i guess.
