1:04- DeeJ's video
I'M TIRED OF ALL THE -blam!-ING LIES; FROM THE HYPE THAT I BOUGHT THE GAME BELIEVING TO THE CRAP WE HAVE TO DEALING WITH NOW.
IF YOU ARGUE ABOUT WEIGHTED PROBABILITY, YOU HAVE NO CONCEPT OF WHAT TRUE RNG IS; HERES WHY!
1. A WEIGHTED DIE TO ROLL A 4 MORE OFTEN THAN NOT IS CONTROLLED AND SELECTED BY THE CREATOR OF THE DIE
2. A NON WEIGHTED DIE WHERE ALL THINGS ARE EQUAL IS TRUE RNG BECAUSE ITS CLOSE TO BEING TRULY RANDOM.
DESTINY WAS CREATED USING #1. -> "THE PLAN"
DEEJ's LEAK
1. Most employees are fired for releasing controversial information (true or not)
2. DeeJ was forced put out a community apology instead of being fired because being fired would have just proved to the community that Xur was not RNG
3. DeeJ's earlier posts are about how useless the updates are or how pointless his job is, probably in retaliation to getting in trouble for the leak.
4. When DeeJ reply's to troll post about leaks he calls them a troll and is very non serious. When DeeJ reply's to actual leeks he is very serious.
DeeJ's quote:
Hey, there. Let me attempt to clear some things up here.
Xur is randomized. There are times when we can pull off miracles like making him stay in the Tower longer when Christmas is cancelled, but his inventory is governed by the same chaos that influences all the loot drops.
Comments in that video about "the plan" were more about the fact that we know what he's selling before he appears, even if we can't reach out and stock his shelves ourselves. We set him in motion, and his will is not his own.
Also in that video, you can hear me confessing that I'm not always in the loop when it comes to these things, so you should take pre-game lobby comments among friends with a grain of salt. That video was from months ago, and I was still learning the intricacies of all the new systems that we launched with the game.
These conspiracy theories are symptoms of a burning desire. Gjallarhorn is the most popular ask that comes my way. I know you want it, even more than the collective requests for more vault space. As you can see, these are things that are beyond my control. I don't have one either.
I'll do my best to talk to the people who create the code that drives Xur, and see if we can make him more valuable to you in the future.
THIS IS WHAT PERFECT RNG LOOKS LIKE WITH EQUAL CHANCES
A 1/14 chance at each exotic weapon
HERE IS A ALGORITHM:
I made an algorithm from my calculus textbook using 14 exotic weapons and using TLW as an example:
x=0 to "# of weeks" 1-(x!/(0!*(x-0)!))*(1/14)^(0)*(5/14)^(x) plot If you run the number of weeks it will give you the probability of it being in his inventory by that # of weeks.
I assumed two things: that they are weighted equally and that Xur is completely random
1. Hard Light
2. SUROS Regime
3. MIDA Multi-Tool
4. Red Death
5. The Last Word
6. Universal Remote
7. No Land Beyond
8. Ice Breaker
9. Patience and Time
10. Plan C
11. Dragon's Breath
12. Gjallarhorn
13. Thunderlord
14. Truth
You can run the equation yourself if you are interested. But if we don't see a repeat of all exotics in the loot table by next September There is no way that Xur is RNG.
Edit 2 *** here's the original reason
"Are you unhappy with Xur: Agent of the Nine's inventory in Destiny and are cursing Destiny developer Bungie for it? well, Bungie is innocent and has nothing to do with Xur: Agent of the Nine inventory, its completely random and not Bungie-made"
Edit 3** Nothing in this game is RNG

You're one of those people that believe the earth is flat, and nobody can change your mind.. so stop posting about it. Here i'll tell you exactly what you want to hear.. they have a meeting each week and decide what xur is going to sell, and they choose shitty items just so you quit. So quit already.

I still believe Xur is controlled by bungie, it may not be a hand picked system, but I believe they control the weight(or chance) a particular item has of being sold. I feel like DLC items have the highest chance of being sold, followed by the less desirable exotics down to your elusive Ghorn/HoPF/Thunderlord and so on. So basically for example DLC items have a 40% chance of being sold and items like Ghorn and the others I mentioned are somewhere around 1-3% chance

2 通の返信Classyにより編集済み: 2/4/2015 7:43:03 PMI actually created a spreadsheet to track the probabilities involved with Xur. See image for a screenshot of it. However, nothing that's happened thus far is certain evidence that the selection is not random. Sure, there were back to back weeks with Plan C where the probability of that happening was seriously low - 0.51% to be precise, but even that's not impossible. We have to reach week 27 before the probabilities for any give exotic appearing twice are even with those for appearing once. The current probability for any exotic appearing twice since launch is still below a 50% chance. As well, there are still 3 unsold exotics - Universal Remote, Thunderlord and Hard Light. Even the probabilities for those being sold won't exceed 90% until week 32. TL;DR: There is no real evidence that Xur is NOT randomized.

3 通の返信Punishedにより編集済み: 2/4/2015 9:39:32 AMThis was a long time ago, xur has never been RNG, he's talking about the people who controll xur. And the peoole that control him use some sort if RNG to pick what he is going to sell. He did not lie to anyone, You just misunderstood.

1 返信Honestly, I don't care either way. I enjoy the game, and will play it despite the amount of shit talking in the community. Why? I'm a pretty devoted player, but I still play BECAUSE IT'S FUN. Not for Bungie. Not for loot. For fun.

Come on mates i love destiny..BUT ffs xur IS NOT RNG there is a team ho has job to pick up the items every week for some reason.."play more to get your ghorn""play more to get your suros...like NF daily and weekly IS NOT RNG thats y after the dlc 4/6 of those are from Dark B"duy the DLC becauce if you dont have it "you cant get the new stuff or play NF or weekly".sad but true..\w/ metallica

VyersReaverにより編集済み: 2/4/2015 9:20:48 AMIts like they still want to keep that mystery around that game that was at the beginning. Well they fail harder and harder, as it's simply impossible with so many people debunking game's myths and legends. One was that Xur wasn't random. We even got DeeJ basically tell his whoevers that he is NOT random. For his mistake Bungie made him go back on his words, because they want to keep their Xur-DLC-only sprees on "Welp guys. Random is random". Random my ass, TWO OF THE SAME STOCK WEEKS, DOWN TO ENGRAM AND NO HEAVY! That is unpossible.

We came to the conclusion they lied when in an interview it was said if you can see it in game you can go there...... well I don't think so As far as deej goes he tells us what he is told he has a job...... you may not agree what your boss tells you to do or say but sometimes you have to do or say it get over it....... He's not losing any sleep over the same issues you guys keep posting so why should you, like someone else said if you like the game keep playing if you don't throw it away I personally paid for the expansion so I'm done with it for now playing another game until HOW comes out then I'm officially done with game not wasting anymore money
-
You do realize that in the vast infinite force of random, there's a chance every week the exact same combination will be sold? Unless you can hack into the game and directly copy the code, it's impossible for the players to know whether or not it's RNG. It may or it may not be. Who actually cares?

He is random Deej is talking about xur when he talks about getting different things for warlocks. This video is taken way out of context
not sure if a multi-million possibly billion dollar company has time to sit down and shit on us with xur. They play the game too
Look at the clustering on the Warlock armor. If you think that is the result of an evenly weighted RNG then I have some real estate on the bottom of the San Francisco Bay to sell you. Most RNG systems in MMO games rely on a weighted system of some kind. You have "common" and "rare" drops at the most basic. Honestly I do agree that BUNGiE has better things to do then shyt on us via Xur. I do think that they should more evenly distribute the weights assigned to the various weapons and armor.
