First, stop claiming to be a soldier in a "threatening" manner. Real soldiers don't attempt to intimidate.
Second, if you're in the United states it's a crime to impersonate a soldier or veteran. Its called stolen valor. Its a federal offense.
Finally, don't get mad when a real soldier calls you out as a phony. They have every right to be angry with you.

3 通の返信What the -blam!- did you just -blam!-ing say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the -blam!- out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my -blam!-ing words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, -blam!-er. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re -blam!-ing dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your -blam!-ing tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re -blam!-ing dead, kiddo.

5 通の返信To back up the point made by several people on here, the legal definition of impersonate is as follows: Impersonation. The crime of pretending to be another individual in order to deceive others and gain some advantage. No one on here is gaining any legal advantage by claiming to be a military officer. Is it disrespectful? Sure. Illegal, no.

5 通の返信Actually a lot of soldiers I've run into (mostly marines) have been really stuck up and ignorant just because they are a "marine". But don't get me wrong, I've run into some fantastic people that are enlisted. It varies from person to person.

3 通の返信
Real soldiers don't attempt to intimidate.
I thought intimidation was like, half the point of armies

3 通の返信
Second, if you're in the United states it's a crime to impersonate a soldier or veteran. Its called stolen valor. Its a federal offense.
This is actually like, really false. You can buy a uniform and wear it wherever you want. You can lie to random people and say you were in the military. It becomes illegal when you try to forge documents, lie to employers, or make money off of it.

8 通の返信Anyone else remember that YouTube vid of a real army SGT stopping a fake one in the mall?
Dude got the uniform sooo wrong...
Don't think you know what stolen valor really is then if that is how you interpret it. It is when....
people to pass themselves off as war heroes by wearing medals they didn't rightfully earn.
Now, on to the topic of saying you are a soldier when you are not, I think it is disrespectful, but the US also has the law of free speech, and as long as we are not using it to do illegal acts, it is perfectly fine by the law (as was fixed in 2012, if you see the link). If this "threatening manner" is what you're concerned about, it is probably copypasta.
Second, if you're in the United states it's a crime to impersonate a soldier or veteran. Its called stolen valor. Its a federal offense.
lol silly, that's only if you're getting money from it. And it isn't solider exclusive either. If you pretend to be someone you aren't and get money from it it's called fraud.

31 通の返信I'm a baker and it makes me sick all these kids pretending they're bakers. This kneads to stop.

2 通の返信It's hard to tell who's real or fake. I'm a real Marine. Half the people who meet me in real life and find out I used to serve don't believe it. How can you tell via the Internet? Ya know?

4 通の返信In a free country impersonating a soldier most certainly is not criminal. Any unjust law stating otherwise would be the only crime. Anyways, I wouldn't tell anyone I was a soldier if I were one, and at one point I seriously considered military. However, unless you were the small few that bought the propaganda and lies and got suckered into the mess, there's no reason anyone should be signing up for pointless and illegal wars.
