Who thinks Xur is random?
Seriously... Let me know !
Edit:Bump the shit out of this post so bungie finally notices that we wont let us screw over every week!
Edit 2: Opinions if he is random or not seem 50:50
Edit 3: IDC about ghorn or weapons shit.
Its about that its close to impossible to get exotic armor without xur .

What if there is a team at Bungie that picks what Xur sells, but they pick at random, like names from a hat. So for example all the Titan exotics go into a hat, someone picks, and that item is programmed by a person to be what Xur sells for that week. You could replicate the process for everything he sells, or let RNG take care of some of them (like the upgrades and consumable items). This would give them the ability to say it's random (because technically it is), while still giving them the option to place a specific item in his inventory when/if they wanted to, such as the second time he sold Suros or when he sold Ice Breaker again a couple of weeks back. I don't know and I don't really care if he's RNG or not. If he has stuff I need I'll buy it, if he doesn't I'll save my coins. Not really something that people need to get worked up over.

10 通の返信Definitely random with some items weighted differently. I think they have adjusted the weights since the games first release though. TDB items are clearly weighted heavily for obvious reasons, just like the nightfalls. I don't understand why people think because he sells the same stuff means he's not random. You really think they would choose the same items over and over? This is less plausible than a random number generator picking the same thing over and over. 100% random, definitely not. But that bungie is secretly picking and choosing things to screw people is ridiculous.

3 通の返信Xur is not random. Considering all the options there would be for all exotic armor, they have sold Starfire Protocol 3 weeks in a row. If it was random, the possibility of rolling Starfire 3 weeks in a row would be very unlikely.

(Only including the three armor pieces, weapon, and engram). You can decide if that's RNG. Edit: I have to correct myself. Those are the odds of him having the same inventory as January 2nd specifically. The odds of him having the same inventory of ANY week is actually closer to .025% or 4000 to 1, assuming he is selling a weapon that has been sold before.

1 返信Bungie won't give Xur the items everyone wants, they want us to play the game, not just collect the best weapons by buying them, there is no fun in that. Bungie will not let Xur sell what everyone is crying about, it's more fun for them to watch everyone cry and complain

I believe it's either hand picked or the items are givin a percentage like ice breaker has a 5% chance and something like dragons breath got a 20% chance and bungie picks the category of weapon like primary special or heavy then the percentage faction would kick in after that

Same exact stock as Jan 2nd's I believe. This all but proves it isn't random, as the probability of getting the same stock as before is so low it's beyond the realm of "randomness." Furthermore, the Omnigul strike has been the weekly/nightfall more than 60% of the time since the DLC's release. When you factor in the other five strikes, again, you're met with an incredibly low probability that leads me to believe it's not random. This is Bungie's way of pushing the DLC. I personally believe that all Dark Below content received a significant bonus chance of being selected.
