Activision has little to do with Bungie's departure in quality. They have full creative control over Destiny and all they get from Activision is funding. Bungie has been going downhill for years.
No but it certainly effects them. It's Bungie who gets themselves caught in situations like these selling their souls away to the highest bidder only to be forced to make their beloved game shit.
This deal with Activision is nothing like the deal they made with Microsoft. They own the Destiny IP, they have full creative control over it, and even get to make delays when they feel like the product isn't ready (which if you remember they did). If Activision had as much influence as you think they do then Destiny would have been released in 2013 and probably would have been a much more broken mess then it currently is. Activision hasn't forced them to make their game bad, they did it all themselves.
Bungie doesn't have enough money on their own to fund games of this scale so therefore they need a publisher. It's just the reality of any developer who want to make something this huge. They went to Activision but made sure they would not be screwed over in the deal like how they were under Microsoft. Hate Bungie for the way this game is, don't use the scapegoat that is Activision.

I never said the didn't. However, (and here I'm specifically talking about their release time) they could have equally requested extended time, and a few months early isn't too much to ask for.

It wasn't planned for 2013.

The same goes for when they partnered with Microsoft.

There is no doubt that Activision influenced Bungie greatly. If I could find the video which showed their partnership with Bungie I would certainly post it. Their requirements for the contract were 4 Destiny titles that would release every 2 years Note: There's obviously more to it than that but I'm talking about time wise. In (I think it was 2017-2020) Bungie would be allowed to work on a super are series or something. Now that I cannot confirm and I highly doubt is true, I just can't remember what would happen after they finished the 4 Destiny titles.
