I'm sorry Bungie, but this is ridiculous. (blind rage fight me)
[b]Hard Mode Crota's End has no Chalice of Light.[/b]
[b]This is the laziest change that could possibly be imagined.[/b] The Chalice is literally half the battle, and you cut it out. Why was this approved? The Chalice was a smart addition to the fight. You could've done something, ANYTHING to the Chalice aside from what you just did to it. [b]Slower regeneration, longer time to pick up, a cooldown between exchanges, I'm good with all of those. That would at least be better than cutting it completely.[/b]
I can understand if I come off as childish, and I won't hate you for thinking that. [b]But I'm just disappointed that THIS is what Bungie could come up with. [/b]Vault of Glass hard mode is also pretty hard, but it does it right. They didn't go overboard with the changes. For Crota's End, they cut key mechanics and added Gatekeepers (the invincible knights) and Wizards.[b] I can be pretty understanding when they have a few screw-ups, but this is where I jump ship.

EDIT: Maybe I wasn't exactly clear on what I meant to say. I just felt that Bungie is getting lazy with their raids. If you don't agree, that's fine. In other news, good lord Bungie forums is a toxic place. So many hateful comments. Anyways, if you replied and were nice about it, thank you. If not than lol.

Lol you guys are hilarious. OP didn't say anything about the difficulty increase and yet that's the only thing you can get from this post. He was talking about the mechanics and I have to agree with him. Removing the chalice is just a lazy move to increase the difficulty. It's not creative nor does it increase the communication or anything like that.

VoG seems much more thought out and I still believe that there is more to the VoG than people have found. Or atleast there will be. Crota just honestly feels more like a strike than a Raid. The whole raid team is forced to be involved in the Atheon fight. Oracles must be dealt with. Supplicants have to be killed. One person messing up can seriously screw you over. Crota is just Meh. Everybody just kind of sits there, occasionally shoots some boomers and Crota, and then watch as some guy wields the sword. I still seriously enjoy VoG and seriously hope that the HOW raid is more like it

2 通の返信All they did to make vog hard was add detain to atheon For crota there's wizards and gatekeepers in the boss battle AND you can't heal I think detain on atheon is lazier kiddo

I applaud them, I wish I worked at bungie you never do anything anymore but bathe in money and make fun of the players.

Adding invincible gatekeepers (apart from sword which wastes precious sword time) is pretty much the laziest thing possible AND he chases the player into that back room under the deathsinger room. Why don't they just put a door in that closes that section off when you enter the final arena? If the final fight was glitch free I think people would accept no chalice. A few of us were running through the normal mode just for fun and the fight only followed the routine twice. Other times we had Crota run straight at us before the 2nd sword, Ogres spawning after 1st sword, Swordbearer would show zero health but still just stand there taking thousands of damage.

VoG hard added interesting (but sometimes glitchy) mechanics to the raid, and removed raising players. Completely removing the chalice mechanic . . . that really seems to me to be lazy design. All in all VoG was a much better put together raid.

Everybody knew they'd be dicks and take away the chalice. No surprise there. I'm surprised they didn't incorporate any of the awesome(ly evil) player ideas in the last 7 weeks. Like each player can only be sword bearer once, and many other things on the forums Well, not that surprised. They did take an entire month off for the holidays
