With quite a bit of feedback, insight and a completion under my belt, 3/4 of which I was a level 31, I've decided to close this thread. If you wish to read the original post, it's in the spoiler.
Thanks for the comments, good luck guardians!
Edit:
1. 31s will only deal 40% less damage to a level 33 and recieve 40% more. While 32s are at 30% in either direction. 10% isn't much.
2. Level 30s were the first to defeat Crota's End on normal, with a single 31 swordweilder... using, you guessed it, 1 and 2 level below the enemy characters. Likewise with level 32s and 31s against a level 33... Meaning they too were dealing 40% less and getting 40% more damage....
3. A players skill isn't rated by any one set of rules. A level 31 could be a fantastic player, one who is cautious, active, effective and a great communicator while a 32 can be a complete noob who hasn't ever done it legit and is a terrible player, communicator and the like.
If you have any real reasons that I didn't just beat with a hammer, lemme hear em.
I'll be taking my level 31 through hard mode today! Good luck Guardians!
Edit: added the single 31 to the post, obviously he was still a level below and dealt 30% less instead of 0% less...
Edit 2: My point is that a level 30 and below character is the only one who should absolutely NOT attempt this raid.
Edit 3: Math was a rough, but close, estimate. Specifics are still unconfirmed to me but are generally accepted values.
Final Edit: Let the story be told! 31s have made it through!!!

They won't last in the abyss unless they're lucky. Personally, as a courtesy to LFG randoms, I didn't run hard until I was 32. But people are greedy for those weapons, so they join up underleveled. Nonetheless, I've finished it with 31s over and over since there are always 31s joining CE hard raids.

2 通の返信I'm not sure why you people listen to others on the forums. 31s can complete the raid they just need to be more careful than the 32s that are with them. As long as a 32 can wield the sword to kill Crota you will do fine. No matter how many times people post the same "31s do this much less damage" when put the actual practice they still can succeed. Just play cautiously and you will be fine.

1 返信It's funny because a majority of the players are not on the forums, and don't give a damn about the "elite" nobodies on these forums. And they will take 31's into the hard raid, not being aware of the "severe" handicap accompanying them, and they will beat the raid, and that will be that.

7 通の返信Yeah nobody ever takes me, or keeps me on the fireteam for Crota's end (Normal lvl 30) because I'm a lvl 29... It's stupid...
-
The only reason level 31s have a hard time with the raid is because these elitist -blam!-heads won't accept them in the group. Can't tell you how many HM groups I've been booted from before the raid is even launched.

2 通の返信Also, at Crota himself, you really only need 32s for sword person and boomer duty. The rest can be 31 as long as they have Hunger/Gjallarhorn.

4 通の返信31s do have a place in the hard raid, just notin a teams first couple run throughs imo and the difference is closer to 15% the real issue is t the damage they deal its how much more easily they die to things i/e a lvl 32 can survive a single ultra knight hit a lvl 31 cannot
-
1 返信I beat the raid as a sword runner, and a 31 Titan was running bubble duty, helped take down swordbearer, didn't die once and was a credit to the team. He earned that victory along with the rest of the 32s. 31 characters aren't always carried, experienced players pull their weight.

6 通の返信Honestly I don't care what ppl say, sorry but I will NOT take a 31 through the hard raid.. Shouldn't be hard to get level 32 anyways

3 通の返信I'm sure they technically could do it but no one wants those scrub casuals in their raid.
