Now this is becoming a recurring theme, starting a vanguard up and lo and behold the level 30 with a moderate grimoire rating is staying at the back afk'ing. Now if it was a genuine reason sure I can understand. But staying at the back hoping someone carries you, to me Bungie needs a system where you can kick inactives, the whole "Be nice to the new players" Sorry but what exactly are you guys smoking? Rather than taking a hippy approach try finding a proactive way to deal with it, a group vote system for kicking inactive players works wonders in other games.

15 通の返信I was doing ROC last night. We got rockets McDickface. One guy quits, the other proceeds to rush ahead, without going to the room where you use dinklebot. Instead of rushing over there myself, i took my time killing some of the Cabal until the guy started coming back (I have no problem with speed running, i do have a problem with people skipping parts for the rest of the fire team to do that must be done to complete the strike). Once i saw he was coming back to activate it, let dinklebot free, making the dude run all the way back before turning around to try and rush ahead. After rushing through the room prior to the tanks, the kid decided he was going to not kill any of the enemies outside where the three generals show up and make me do all the work, so i proceeded to sit down, until he started doing some stuff. From that point on, he was pretty good about helping out, so i felt good heading into the boss fight. When we get there, he proceeds to jump up into one of the vents. At this point im thinking, what a scrub, its a level 26 strike, but if he feels the need to take cover, so let him. I start unleashing hell on McDickface, thinking this kid is helping from the cover of the vents. When Rockets switched sides, i saw what was actually happening. The kid was just sitting up in the vent. I proceeded to let myself be killed to force the other guy to help. He sat in the vent for the 30 seconds my countdown had to be able to revive myself. After the 30 seconds was up, i still did not revive myself. He started shooting my ghost, as if he was expecting me to do the strike for him. When he finally realized i wasn't going to do that, he finally jumped out of the vent and started shooting McDickface. At this point, i revived myselfsince he was helping out finally, and we took out the bastard. I took down 7/8 of this guys health by myself. Moral of the story, speed running is fine, but don't expect me to do everything for you and you get free rewards. I have no problem taking my good old time and making it as painfully slow for you as possible if you are going to skip parts required for completion and hide and not contribute. I know this isn't AFK related, but i thought this was an appropriate thread to share this on.

2 通の返信I say, kick em and if they get kicked off 3 times a day they can't access strikes for 24 hrs. If there is no real punishment there won't be any change.

It's a level whatever strike. Just finish it and if the person gets some rewards from it, they get it. Destiny wasn't built for complainers. It was built on the idea that if a player wants to play a certain style and be a dick? Fine. No worries on my part. I've always seen strikes as competition runs. The one with the most kills and no/few deaths at the end is the winner. If players want to meet the challenge, I'll take them through a raid challenge. If they get 30-50 kills in the level 26 strike? He he. Take it easy kid and good luck with level 26 VoG... you won't beat it with those statistics...

1 返信I agree, I think if you are AFK for around 5 minutes you should automatically be kicked from the game. It is annoying as -blam!- to join a ROC strike and need to leave the game because the level 30 won't help. I understand if it is for about 1 minute, but how the hell do you go AFK when you just loaded up a game.

7 通の返信Kontii Slyfoxにより編集済み: 1/19/2015 8:14:41 PMI hop on my sparrow, turn around, and wait for people for about 20 seconds before starting any strikes. If they haven't moved, they get taken for a ride on the handle bars, until they turn into a blue orb. Then their "twitches" can't help them from getting kicked for inactivity. Ran into this about 6 out of 8 missions I ran last night. What a joke. Edit: Not that anyone would look or care, but I was added to a strike last night where a crew was dealing the final blow to Vaalus Taaurc before I even made it through the loading screen. In case anyone looks. Hence my 1 strike with no kills.

4 通の返信Lol. Some may say I have no life for this but...... When I'm running ROC strikes and someone goes AFK. You know what I do? I'll sit there with them and out AFK them. You will generally find people who will sit down the controller and get on there computer or phone and wait until the other person finishes the strike. It annoys me so I will literally sit there and wait until they start playing. I had one guy who went AFK at the beggining, without me noticing I cleared out the first part on the Omnigul strike(the first room) then I noticed he moved up to the next checkpoint and went AFK agian. So I ran up beside his guardian and sat there. 20 mins later he started melee attacking my guardian so I started playing agian thinking he will to. He did for a little bit then went AFK agian. So I sat there and waited another 30 minutes and he came back once again and played the rest of the strike. After the strike he sent me a message saying a was a "no life nerd who sucks at destiny" I replied back with "GG you got out-camped"

7 通の返信I never afk, but I find complainers hilarious. If you suck so bad you can't solo a roc strike... Sure it would be faster with more than two players but if you're having such a problem with it why not sparrow gank them? I've had people depart from strikes seconds after it started. I'm looking back from my sparrow like 'guis?'. Personally I find that way more annoying than an afk'r.

Had two people leave on archon at the start Decided to solo it cuz i was bored Had two people join with priest at 1/6th health They both had 2/6 kills respectively. Both walked away with legendaries. A ship and engram.

Romanにより編集済み: 1/20/2015 10:30:08 AMusually taking a piss or getting a drink but I always catch up my controller battery was about dead right as we first got to Omnigul, I froze in the middle of the thralls - when another Fireteam member saw that I wasn't moving - and I was all the way to there - he guarded my Warlock while I was switching batteries - we were not in the chat, but I waived and got a waive back - was the fastest I've ever killed Omnigul outside of Solar Nightfall too - and there were just 2 of us - 3rd joined almost at the end of the Omnigul fight

Darhk Angelにより編集済み: 1/20/2015 9:45:14 AMJust have everyone in the team report him automatic boot normally I've done this many times and I will message my other team mate to do the same and shortly after he is removed from the game

I go afk if my pregnant sister needs my help with something or they are some emergency. I was doing VoG HM when my stove caught fire. Of course I'm going to go afk to put it out. Fyi my mom was cooking and some how it caught fire. Passed that I really don't afk and if I do it's for a split sec and I'm back.

5 通の返信How about an auto kick if you haven't moved farther than, say, 20m from current location and haven't caused any damage in the last two minutes? This should take care of most elastic band schemes and cover you if you are hunkered down and sniping...

5 通の返信If there's a kick option, I think it'll be abused by asshat kids. I'd rather just got to orbit and try again instead of a kick feature. Just my opinion.

57 通の返信Chit Chatにより編集済み: 1/19/2015 5:25:35 AMHow do you know if it's a genuine afk? I remember loading into Undying Mind when I went afk. When I came back they were both punching me until I fell off the edge. They weren't in a fireteam. Little did they know I was making tea for my sick gf. So I just came back and started dancing continously. They left shortly after. I really don't care if someone afks. I've never had someone straight up just sit back and do nothing. They either afk then get booted or leave periodically like I sometimes do, but always come back. If you want to avoid afkers just go with friends.
