Why does this honestly matter? I am a casual player and have both purchased and "earned" fantastic exotics. Xur allows "unlucky" players to get some inevitable items quicker than you perhaps but in the end it makes absolutely no difference. Quite frankly I feel that he helps the game. When doing raids or nightfalls with randoms it gives me a better chance at hooking up with someone that has solid gear. This community, for the most part, is just a bunch of whining moaning kids (yep even if you are 40) who get upset because someone else has what they have. Damn sounds like Christmas morning all over again. Grow up, shut your mouth and enjoy the game.

1 返信Please, tell me more how having an exotic randomly given to you is earning over the guy who did numerous weekly strikes to get enough strange coins to get that one gun/ piece of armor he/she wants. I guess people who buy Lamborghinis with their paychecks isn't earning it either, they have to win it in a raffle, am I understanding you correctly?

Don't understand people like this the way I get exotics doesn't affect the way he can "earn" (rng) his exotics. I would much rather pay for a game that allows me to experience everything it has to offer and have less red tape (rng). There are plenty of games that I will have you dedicate my life to "earn" gear. (borderlands, WoW and about every gear based game.)
-
Also if the game is ruined just quit playing it. I'd rather keep all the Christmas noobs who are excited about the game and have fun playing it then have an elitist wannabe a special little snowflake douchebag hater on here.

Idea - What if instead of selling the weapons, he sold bounties for them (Basically harder exotic bounties.) For Icebreaker, it could've been - Get 200 solar kills in the Crucible Get 200 headshots with snipers Complete a special strike (Ta'aurc with solar burn? (Like the Thorn Bounty) Complete a raid Something like this would make it far more interesting.

Ahem, the reason that Zur is in the game like he is and will probably not be changed is because the "nubs" (as you call them) out number the greedy people like you. Now, I'm a pretty laid back gamer but it's people like you who grind my gears. What if RNGesus wasn't as kind to you for three months? Wouldn't you buy a exotic gun that you really want?
-
I will never understand why you wouldn't want people to be better geared for raid groups Like red said to much special little snowflake syndrome going on. No gear in this game takes long or is hard to get In my humble opinion someone can have all the best gear and still suck Theres 32s here that cant solo a weekly or nightfall And casual 29 that can i would rather have the 29 with the icebreaker than the 32 Cause hes a better player dont care if he bought it or earned it Either way it helps us

VTHokiesにより編集済み: 1/19/2015 2:27:04 PMPeople like you ruin this game, not Xur. Getting lucky by having a lego weapon engram drop and then having it turn into an exotic weapon is not earning it. I've played since the alpha. Have received a total of 8 weapons legendary engrams. One has turned into a weapon, and it was a lego shotgun.

1 返信]I think the majority have accepted Xur and are fine with him, there are still a few who feel they need to rant on a weekly basis. That's not to say I don't see why you are upset, its just I think you need to look at the bigger picture before calling for his removal. If you break it down, the only reason to be upset - you were lucky enough to loot something good, but if everyone was handed it through xur it no longer feels special. That's an understandable reason to be upset, maybe not justified given the nature of rng, but understandable. I just want to approach the subject from a different angle, why I think he exists and should continue. For simplicity sake, take the situation before the DLC. Xur, he exists primarily not for those of us who are playing end game but for those who have just finished the story mode and working on increasing their light level to play end game. For me that is the most challenging time in the game, in terms of the grind and motivation. Its a time when the most amount of people i suspect either quit the game or decide to continue on to play the end game content. Your grinding out strikes and marks with sub-par weapons, looking to buy vender gear and hitting those public events with a passion, the very site of an exotic gets your blood racing and Exotic bounties seem like an unsurpassable challenge at times, if your lucky enough to get one. Its at that critical time, I think Xur is essential for. Firstly it gives a sense of purpose - newly Post 20, your focus is to start doing the weekly heroic. It will take you a few weeks perhaps, but your work is almost guaranteed to be rewarded with an exotic at the end of it. That feels good, it feels like progression and it makes you motivated to continue. Players at this stage, might be lucky to buy an exceptional weapon from Xur, their first exotic might even be a Gjallahorn or an ice breaker, that doesn't all of a sudden make it easy mode for them, they still have a lot of work to do in outfitting the rest of their character to a level good enough to raid or nightfall. But it does give a huge amount of motivation to continue playing and a short term reason to get their light level higher to do the Weekly on hard. Once your of a level high enough to Nightfall and raid, you have several opportunities now for looting exotics and the rate at which you progress is much faster. Xur becomes a lot less relevant, he is a nice bonus at the end of the week and a reason to do the weekly, but the reality is in the longer run you are going to have much more gear looted that is not from Xur. So what I am saying is, without Xur. So many players would of quit a long while back, his existence keeps players playing after the main story is over. He doesn't make that much of a difference to those playing end game and before we call for him to be removed, we should look at the bigger picture and offer an answer to that first. Thanks

I have played since day one, do you have a problem with me buying IB from xur? Or do i have enough time in game for it to be ok? Or must everything be a miserable rng reward for you not to be butthurt that other people get stuff. This is such worthless post get over it.

This is a RNG system game. That means that all dropped items are luck ( not skill not hard work). I personally don't mind Xur. I didn't need icebreaker I have literally gotten 12 icebreakers from drops. I also have over 1000 hrs on this game. But one thing I don't have is a Thunderlord and if Xur sells one, you better believe I'm lining up to buy one. I pretty surprised that you never bought anything from Xur ?

Honestly you can say seasoned players or the mlg players or anything like that. This game is not an mlg game. Period. All you "seasoned" players think that this game requires skill the only thing that requires skill in this game is, crucible(if you're not using a shot gun), and maybe raids if you don't have a good team. So all players don't think this is an MLG game. It's not.

1 返信shibbitybooにより編集済み: 1/19/2015 12:50:21 PMI don't mind Xur. I bought Suros and Red Death from him a while ago, and two Titan helms (Skullfort and Glasshouse). I "earned" Plan C, Pocket Infinity, Icebreaker and Universal Remote from random drops and bounties. I "earned" Crest of Alpha Lupi off a random drop. The very nature of a random drop means you don't earn what is dropped, you simply receive it for free. In a way getting exotics through Xur by way of coins is more deserved than receiving them from drops due to the fact that you have to do something to earn the coins. Either way it shouldn't matter that other players have the same guns and armor as you, unless you have a significant emotional investment in being one of the few with said guns or armor. If that's the case it is perhaps not "nubs" owning exotics that is the core of the issue. tl;dr chill out its just a game..the items are just pixels on a screen

Supersport05により編集済み: 1/19/2015 1:26:58 PMI see no issue with Xur. He sells some exotic weapons/armor, others can only be gotten from raids (Vex, Nechrochasm), others only through exotic bounties (Thorn, Bad Juju, etc.). He sells what, like 1 weapon per week? Big deal. It essentially is RNG on what he sells. Get over yourself. Perhaps one thing I could see making it a bit different is if Xur sold exotic bounties for the weapons/armor he currently sells...something that at least you had to work for...
