Personally, they should add new content: dungeons (1-3 player raids), quest lines, and more exotic bounties. Restrict what Xur sells to exotics in the base game, TDB, and HoW. The majority of exotics included in future expansions will be restricted to these activties with the minority will still be obtainable via RNG.

5 通の返信Exotics are not meant to be rare weapons. The very definition of exotic is something that is unique or foreign. It in no way means that it is something rare.

If it bothers "hardcore" players so much they don't ever have to look at Xur. I'll be buying whatever the hell I want from him because I can. 90% of the exotic weapons are pretty bad and the armor doesn't really matter too much. If "hardcore" gamers are bothered that much, they can find a new game because destiny is not a hardcore game.

1 返信I think it's simple to make everyone happy. Keep Xur, but don't let him sell a handful of exotics. That way hardcore players have something to grind for while casuals have all the exotics they need to succeed.

7 通の返信14 days played on main 4 days played on alt 1 3.9 days played on alt 2 I have never got a drop containing ice breaker or Ghorn. How is me buying what I don't get dropped ruining the game?

4 通の返信I bought a Stealth Drive instead of the Ice Breaker. Although my Ice Breaker goes up to 300 max damage and he was selling the upgraded gun, I bought the drive anyway. :)

Xur gives their alts nice weapons and their friends and raiding fire teammates exotics they have just been too unlucky to get. Sorry you wish your exotic collection made you a special snowflake. How has Bungie left the "hardcore" player base out to dry? You got the Exotics. You're all set. And now you complain when other players who have played for literally [i]hundreds[/i] of hours take advantage of a single ray of sunshine in this otherwise dreary grind day after day to get an exotic or two? That's just mean. Thinking someone who has played for that long is taking the "challenge" out of the game is a little silly. Just because there are some players who have time to sit in front of a TV for most of the day and get through all the content way too quickly doesn't mean everyone else has to suffer. I'm sorry you're so much better at this than everyone else.

Xur has been in this game for a long time so everyone has an equal chance at getting his exotics, not just the "newbs" otherwise drop rates are all RNG based. I got my icebreaker from my first nightfall, and I've only been playing since Christmas. Call me a filthy casual newb all you like, these are just the facts.

1 返信I've been playing since week 3, nearly every single day multiple hours, and never had an Icebreaker drop. So up yours, I'm damn well gonna buy one with my 60+ Strange coins when Xur sells it.

1 返信I only have time for one character between work and family one character is all I can run so I don't get the strange coins or the amount of drops yall with three get and if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all so quit complaining Xur just cause he sold the ice braker remember just a few months ago he sold it as well and nobody cared

1 返信I'm trying to understand how taking him out would be a good thing. You say that no Xur means you "work" for your exotics but this is a RNG loot system. No real work is had, play the game and you get a chance. The longer you play the more chances you have. It's not like you spent hours grinding up reputation to unlock a hard strike that if you beat in such way you get the item. Right now the only "worked for" exotics would be the exotic bounties. And even then RNG is a factor in it. Item value from venders is no less then items found in a drop. The only difference is, chance. I think the main problem is that people are trying to find a way to separate them selfs from the others in this game. If they can get there hands on something no one els could, with ease, then they would feel unique. Destiny is the wrong game for that. Has been since day one. It lost the chance at that when they rushed the game out to make the "backers" happy and some cash. If we took out Xur, we have people leaving do to the lack of getting items they want. We are the customers, it's Bungie's job to make us happy. But you know what they say: "you can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time". People who claim to be "pro" or "hardcore" don't really have much in this game. You hit end game, get end gear, and done. Sure you can go for things like "world first" but that is about it. Instead of going with the "take him out" line. Come up with something that works for you and for the other Guardians out there. Then you will know what Bungie's mind set is. Most of the time, some times, we hope.

2 通の返信Uhhhh, I guess this topic will never go away, shouldn't all the coveters be obsessed with the raid weapons instead of exotics. Exotics are a like a poor mans raid weapon, that's why you're only entitled to one at a time.
