It's ok to believe that God will help, but the mother needed to get treatment, so God could "use the doctor" to treat and cure the boy's cancer. Can't just wait around like that.
The other mother just uses science and woohoo, it's fixed.
well, emotion even if self made. ( the feeling of prayer / connection) has large effects on the body's ability to heal itself. This has been show, stated, reported time and time again. Mood and outlook can make a sick person better. A self administered placebo effect if you will. When your emotions run high, with joy, happiness. It triggers large amounts of chemicals to be released within the body. these chemicals could have an effect on sicknesses. ( not saying it does, yet it has been documented and reported.) Catholics during mass prayer show higher than normal chemical output within the body- endorphin's, adrenalin, testosterone, estrogen, and pheromones spike. this was not only documented within Catholics but also Buddhists, Muslims, and Jews . Another chemical that is transferred in body is zink, which is shown within many studies to enhance white blood cells, and the immune system. You also see the body passing excess iron out through fecal matter and urine... Iron is a necessity for viruses, a body with low amounts of iron is shown to fight off viruses up to 72% faster than a body with high amounts of iron. this can go in to the topic of blood letting... but that is another time.....
end note - religion can effect the whole body ( healing )through emotions and chemicals .
I understand people are pissed about xur selling the best exotic for pve in the game but I have 10 days of destiny time and have done over 30 nightfalls and 10 hard mode raids alone. I have one exotic that I haven't gotten from xur to show for it. now i wish I had earned my icebreaker but can honestly say without xur no matter how much time i put in the game I wouldn't get it. Also there is common sense believing in your faith and relying on that is something your taught and miracles can happen but most everyone you talk to that has a religion will tell you they would go to the hospital its common sense.
Technically if you believe in God...you could argue he put everything here. He created special people that manipulated his raw materials to invent. Science is his discipline.
But having a head of steel and sometimes get in the way of logic.
I'm assuming the answer is supposed to be neither women are idiots but that just me but the religious woman is an idiot for trying to force her religion on someone else
This actually brings up a good point. Everyone is taking it the wrong way by looking at the references of your post, and not the hidden meaning. I applaud you.
