4 通の返信Technically these "resources" are things that people made, not what God gave them. Everyone passes for a reason, he may not heal one boy because his death was used as an impact for others, while the other cheated death and now will suffer with radiation issues for the rest of his life. Things happen for a reason, not just random. The boy could not have believed in God so Satan was allowed to do his worse, but it takes the person them self asking for healing as well to count. I don't want a large argument over this, its just how things are done. If you wonder how I know, don't ask I won't tell you, but I have been sparred several times from dying.

It's so much different cancer and buying ice breaker is on a completely different level. And if we "earned" it the boy would not die of cancer because we got the icebreaker so, your analogy is invalid you stupid fûck

14 通の返信Auriventrisにより編集済み: 1/18/2015 10:31:54 AMBit off topic but. Did anyone ever think that the religious mothers son died and went to heaven? I don't know about you but id rather suffer a few months of pain and live in eternal peace then get "Healed" by doctors and live a boring, hateful life full of people who tease you for being an Ex-cancer patient and further more increasing your chances to lose faith and go to hell anyway when you die naturally. 0.0 Edit: Sarcasm.. sorry guys, Was not that obvious :/ did not mean to offend :3

7 通の返信What I'm getting at from your post is that you abhor "Earners" because they, ironically, don't earn the items they receive. As the obvious lean towards the "logical mother" is in your post, xurners earned their items, while the mother earned her son's healing. What do I think about all this? I like to stay away from the subject when I can. Getting into petty arguments like this just proves we can't help but try and satiate our drive for competition. Over what? Guns on a video game that EVERYONE has a chance at getting. When you put RNG into a game, you can't say you earned it. You can definitely increase your chances (ie increasing the amount of strange coins in your inventory so that if by 'chance' xur sells it, you can grab it. You can also do more nightfalls (or specific raid sections), which increases your chance at an exotic). Now as for your post as a whole, I think the anology itself isn't a good choice. You ended up distracting the community from your point by including Religion. You even got to piss the religious side for bad wording. "The second mother, whose son also has cancer, is a bit more logical." As you say in your edit, "people somehow think I am saying all religious people are idiots. This is not the case." You thought it was unusual for people to think so. I think you should just admit your mistake and apologize (If you want). I also get this small spite vibe from your post against Christians, as the only other time you mention other religions is when you wrote Quran or "healing rituals," as there are many other religions that do many other things for healing. I get it. Your post is, very simply put, you don't earn what you don't work for. I just don't understand why you always have to put things in such a way all the time. Perhaps just trying to keep up your reputation? P.s. I'm in no way an expert on religion, I'm open to any type of argument

I feel like the religious aspect is kinda pointless to point out. I just saw a mother who didn't try hard enough to help. For example, my dad had a heart disease and we have him the best treatment with the money we had worked things out and also prayed in the process. In the end he died but I can still say proudly that we did what we could. So u can't just rely on God for everything.

Longface... I see you still have hope in the forum dwellers of humanity. How you hang out here so often and manage that I'll never know... They barely understand any form of logic, basic math, or even have a modicum of reading/writing comprehension. What makes you think they would get an 'Analogy'? Hell, I'm betting a lot of them didn't even know the definition of analogy to start with.
-
I heard an analogy once. there are two men that have their wagons stuck in the mud. one prays, and sits in the wagon waiting for God to get the wagon unstuck. The other prays, and then proceeds to get out and push, signifying that he is willing to do his part. Which wagon do you think got unstuck? their is no real faith without action. :)

This analogy is a little flawed because RNG can be empirically proven to exist through objective testing & observation. God(s)... not so much. I agree that the "earned" debate is pathetic & old though :)

26 通の返信Chemotherapy is designed to not work as effective as other methods of curing cancer. Chemotherapy ruins you, leaves you in bed so you can get weak, then you need more chemotherapy because of it. More money for the hospital to be distributed to many sources that are mainly beneficial to bankers. You know what cures cancer? Pure liquid THC. Sound stupid? Your reaction is just a pre determined response implemented by various hours of watching television. That's the reason it isn't glorified on t.v., because it actually is more beneficial to us than stated on television. Same with cannabis/hemp.
