Now get your Ass on Boomer Duty!
Everyone should have icebreaker now, so there should be no excuses as to why my raid team wipes from Boomers. No more "I don't have a good sniper I can't be on Boomer Duty" nonsense. Max your shit, and make yourself useful lol.
I've gotten 3 Icebreakers all from Rng.
Edit: Referring to normal Crota obviously. This post was made before Hard mode released.

2 通の返信"Everyone should have Icebreaker now." Really? Get off your high horse man. I was a newbie the first time Xur sold it. I was gone the whole damn week the second time he sold it. And RNG in this game, more so than in any other, tends to crap all over me and give me nothing. So, no, I don't have the beautiful Icebreaker. And I'm sure I'm not the only one.

2 通の返信Hopefully you are only referring to normal mode. Hard mode you dont have to fire one shot at the boomers.

26 通の返信More annoyingly, why have people suddenly started calling them boomers?! They're the exact same Knights that appear throughout the game, utilising the exact same weapon, and no one ever referred to them as "boomers" until the very last part of the raid.

Some people are just bad snipers. I have the opposite problem now. Everyone has icebreaker so they all want to do boomer duty because they think it's the easiest thing, "just shoot boomers and let everyone else beat the boss! That's awesome!" What these scrubs don't realize is that you actually have to have a fair amount of skill sniping to prevent the boomers from taking shots on your team before you kill them. You have to be quick and accurate to be solid on boomer watch. So I, being my non confrontational self, concede and let some guys who just picked up icebreaker have boomer duty, and palmface as half the team gets wiped out by boomers because it takes the sniper too much time to kill them, he's not hitting each to stagger them, etc. My other favorite is when everyone has their IB on and when someone shouts boomers they all stop, pull out IB and shoot the boomers I stead of nuking the sword bearer. /sigh I really should leave raids earlier when this stuff happens and stop torturing myself, but I stick with it because I don't want to look like a dick and leave people hanging.

3 通の返信Ahem. Efrideet's Spear to take out the boomers with one shot. Ghorn to take out the swordbearer or crota(Usually run the sword). You don't need an icebreaker... You can buy a decent sniper rifle from the vendors... This was never an excuse.

1 返信My team fights from the middle room and attacks crota on either sides(we dont attack crota when he is on his starting spot), this way we never ever have to snipe boomers at all.

3 通の返信20 bucks says that the boomers will become hallowed boomers or chosen on the hardmode. One hallowed knight will take all six shots to kill from the icebreaker.

2 通の返信I do not have an icebreaker. Never got a lucky drop. All this past week I've been on vacation, and away from ps4. No Xur for me this past week. Black Hammer will have to suffice.

Guns shouldn't make or break this fight tho as boomer projectiles are easily avoided. Players tend to get distracted tho so whatever, that's life. I'll continue do it myself even after this influx of new Ice Breaker owners. That being said, a few players with decent primaries make short work of those Knights. If they're upgraded to shielded majors on hard mode that'll be a different story.
