I posted this in a discussion on one of my threads "what encourages you?" A user who does not believe, requested that I make known to him things that would reveal the purpose of believing in Christ. Of course he resorts back to saying that I have assumed the existence of god in order to validate my point. This not empirical evidence so if you read it as such, you will be very disappointed. These are the reasons one may accept the divinity undermining Christianity amongst a sea of other proclamations. Do not let me deceive you, as I do not wish to convince you which path is the one for you. So, the questions questions remain, what makes christianity true and other religions false? What makes Jesus divine and other gods idols? It comes down to the kingdom that is being advocated. According to history, Christianity established itself through gods will to promote his kingdom on earth. Many men came bearing the name of god on their swords rather than in their foreheads, not allowing god to be their sword, and not allowing their faith to be the grip of said sword, thus corrupting the sanctity of the purpose of the church. The purpose remains pure, but it is no longer seen as righteous for this reason. Christianity was never once promoted by Jesus. But the will of god and the kingdom of god and the salvation in his grace is the reigning purpose of his existence. There has been no messiah for Islam, though they expect one to appear soon. They anticipate the arrival will be accompanied by Jesus, but as the prophet. Submitting to this anticipation, they perceive that they must be ruthless in promoting their beliefs before this arrival. Unfortunately, we sense a similar ruthlessness was required to establish the religion of Christianity in the early centuries of the church age. Islam is the second largest religion in the world and these exercise vengeance and intolerance and hatred in the name of their god rather than allowing their "messiah" handle it when he gets here, as Christianity says Jesus will do. This is why spreading peace is more important that converting someone to a particular religion. This is why loving eachother and unifying as a species is more important than the division that we are witnessing. People are being dragged from their homes to be persecuted and executed for the sake of someone who they say could do it himself. There's no truth to what other religions speak or practice. Sacrilegious principals will be desecrated at the return of Christ, for they do not bring peace or glory to the father in heaven. Hinduism worships idols as well, and the fact that a god would embody himself in a cow or an idol is purely luciferian. The story of the possessed men with demons that would rather be cast out into pigs than to be banished to hell shows us this falsehood proclaimed by many religious practitioners. Buddhism accepts no gods and was conceived by the followers of a wise monk. The monk did not found this religion although the religion has been subjectively labeled "Buddhism". Christianity was subjectively named after the influence of Christ because his salvation was for Jews, Gentiles, and all people who accepted the Christ and abided by his teachings and honor him with their lives, as he did for the father. Christianity was spread by the countenance and will of the Holy Spirit, that we find Jesus Christ, to rectify the habit of our sin and to objectify the authority of death and bondage to suffer the honor our salvation.[/quote]
