Adds more play time
makes this game less than a chore
if you disagree you're probably some selfish elitist who feels like youve earned your gear when in actuality its all RNG.

3 通の返信If there was trading in this game, everybody would have the same gear/weapons and be level 32.

1 返信An AH or general trading could lead to issues. It has elsewhere, but there is a larger problem: what are you going to get for what you sell? The issue with trading also comes into form of payment. There are way too many currencies now, and stupid caps on some of them. Trade for glimmer, to buy what? Trade for merits, but you still need to have the level with the vendor to do so, and / or commendations. Strange coins, maybe, but there is only one vendor worth spending them at, which is limited time and half the time sells the same crap every week. Motes of light. I honestly haven't figured out their purpose. When Xur used to have engrams, I'd take a shot, but that seems to be hit or miss now. Shards, unless they are radiant, nobody cares, and even that is questionable. I could go on, but the point is the value of the currency isn't there because there isn't a lot of options to do with them. I played Neverwinter. They have probably 20 or more currencies if you get down to it. Astral Diamonds are king. Gold (which is equivalent to glimmer here) has limited value since the good stuff is AD based. There are exchanges, but the exchange rate is so bad, there is no point. Same thing here. Now, if destiny let us pay / bribe for reputation with a particular faction / vendor, well now there is some value, but probably not to the person who does the raids and PVP stuff. Think of it this way, if you do raids, have tons of exotics, what would you be willing to give up to allow someone to buy something from you? Right now, there isn't anything I can think of, because of the way the economy is designed in the game. However, need or greed / trading at the reward screen makes sense. You could have this for PVP so if the top person doesn't get a reward (which I probably never will be, but it is stupid there isn't an automatic something), they can hit need for an exotic that drops. Since Bungie put all their faith into random number generation, the RNG rolls to see who clicked need actually gets it. At least that gives everyone a fighting chance. I wouldn't think this would be that hard to do. RNG stays as is. When you get gear, you have the choice (if teamed obviously) to offer it to someone else. Once you go to next zone or leave that screen, it is set. I am trying to help get my sister's characters setup. A lot of the drops do nothing for me, but could help her alot. I'd gladly give her a bunch.

3 通の返信Anyone can make a biased video. Truth is, trading would create a black market and open doors to new hacks with people duplicating items etc. The game would in turn be ruined. Only thing that should change is fireteam trading at the end of raid/strike/mission. After that window, items should be bound as they are now.
-
I think trading should be a trade with an AI not some noob giving you an uncommon for spare gjallarhorn It should be a trade 2/3 exotics for 1 exotic or trade 2 legendaries for 1 of them with retooled perks
-
3 通の返信Stupid idea. Everyone knows that it would kill the game. It would not increase game time being played it would decrease it because you have nothing to work for anymore.

4 通の返信CoRRh321BlAsToFfにより編集済み: 1/14/2015 5:57:13 PMIf trading is added it should be a similar system to the free game Warframe that's on ps4 and PC. When you hit a certain rank/level, you are able to trade, but are limited to a certain amount of trades per day. Your trade increase with each rank up (I think) and there's a credit/money tax on the trading. There's also a rather sought after currency called Platinum. Say destiny follows this system and uses strange coins/motes of light. A ghorn or ice breaker would be the most expensive and they'd probably cost about 80 motes. Or 80 coins.
in Warframe the more desired weapons are fairly expensive so 80 would be a reasonable price
You could trade ships, armor, shaders, weapons, class items, sparrows, ammo synths, engrams. If they implemented it but limited it and made it somewhat close to Warframes system, there would be more desire to play.
thoughts? Changes?
If trading is added, it should be very limited, but some sort would benefit the game. It would really ease the pain of getting screwed by the RNG system if you could at least trade that extra Ghorn to your buddy for that hand cannon he'll never use (or whatever).

2 通の返信I am not arguing your point, i love economies. BUT! if trading is allowed, currency caps MUST be removed. the venders prices must be adjusted to align withthe economies (most likely much higher) Xur must be completly removed, or prices DRASTICALLY raised. if these things are not done, the artificial prices would destroy the economy. and the glimmer cap would not let market equilibriums form, causing problems as well. AlsoI disagree with youre statements that people did not "earn" their gear. because yes it may be RNG. but to optimize your output, you must roll the die as many times as possible. I have done almost everything, and yes I have had strokes of luck, but i also have had dry spells. but i kept throwing the dice and eventually i won. i do consider this "earning" what I have. but this point is my own oppinion, and unrelated to the topic at hand, so its not worth debating

Cyanideにより編集済み: 1/14/2015 5:41:41 PMTrading opens a whole network of manipulation and would be easily abused. Also decreases play time because instead of taking several months to get all the exotics, you could be done in a few weeks. Furthermore it would render the Nightfall, Raids, Xûr, and several factors useless.
if you disagree you're probably some selfish elitist who feels like youve earned your gear when in actuality its all RNG.
And with this you are just plain ignorant.

4 通の返信monkykenにより編集済み: 1/14/2015 4:06:45 PMI dont think Trading should be implemented for 1 reason ( to state I only have 2 exotic weapons at current) it will open a black market where people sell these items for real money and will turn this game in to the same as every other buy your gear games where the man with the deepest pockets and a bit of spare time will do his thing. Also why should someone be able to get the Vex mytho without actually doing the hard mode raid and working hard at it? trading would allow a level 20 to potentially get to level 32 without putting in any work, without ever completing a raid and would basically just upset people who actually do grind and hope in rng that they get what they hope for and that itself is a massive part of the game. Worst case example guy plays for 11 hours to get to level 20 goes and buys ice breaker, ghorn and all the raid armour maxed or the crucible Armour and plays for maybe another few hours gets bored and leaves because he did everything and now there's no point. So yeah that's why I dont think trading will ever happen.

5 通の返信So everyone who disagrees with your opinion is automatically an elitist prick. I think it's about time you went and looked in the mirror bud. While you're there you might want to check your hypocrisy meter.

1 返信-blam!- it. Why not just put in a God mode then? Trading opens up a whole slew of issues and can really mess up a game. One of the few exceptions to this might be something like Eve Online, where the player driven economy is integral to the game itself.

3 通の返信ChaosMetalMartyにより編集済み: 1/14/2015 4:31:48 PMTo all of the people bitching about the posibility of people trading for real money, here is the solution: Trade with your freinds and don't -blam!-ing buy weapons like a moron.
-
3 通の返信Trading goes against what Bungie wants destiny to be. They want you to keep playing to get the gear/shaders/ships you want if we had trading and everyone could get the gear they wanted why continue to grind? Also real money transactions may have made trading in games extinct. No company wants you making money off their product without a cut. Now I wouldn't mind a loot bag OPTION so to speak in raids. Where all loot, besides mats all players should get mats in all sections of the raids, is pooled then at the end of the raid the players decide how its dispersed. But this can also lead to problems. Again this should be an option not mandatory.
-
2 通の返信When people stop cheesing everything trading will be viable. Until then trading would ruin this game more.
-
That would completely change the game. Trading will create a real Money market and put a real money value on everything in the game. People would be selling Suros regime on bay for $60 and people would buy it. Right now you know everyone has had to grind for what they have. It would completely change the game and not in a good way
-
1 返信I would like the often mentioned 'raid-trading' After the Raid you have 10min to trade the weapons you get from the Raid (endboss) with your fireteam
-
1 返信Trading would be fine if they added in binding. IE once u equip something on your char it is permanently bound to you and cannot be traded. It has worked in every MMO type game I have ever played.
-
1 返信Trading needs to be in this game. And no, trading will not "break the game" like some of you morons keep saying because WoW and other MMOs are doing perfectly fine.
