Sooo, my boyfriend's upset.
For the past couple of days I've been playing Destiny nearly nonstop trying to level up my newer alts in time to run the weekly for coins for when Xür comes to visit. I guess he expected me to text him back in the middle of Nightfalls and raids because he got really angry about me not giving him as much attention as Destiny, even though he's the one that got it for me (we used to play together until he got bored and deleted his profile).
I just found it pretty amusing, but also irritating, and went to play some CoDBO2 zombies instead (I'll see you tomorrow, Destiny). Do your partners get frustrated by your love affair with Destiny like mine does?
EDIT: These comments have been fun, everyoneee. I'm glad others are having to deal with this too (I'm not happy about the issue, just the feedback lol), but we don't really need this useless thread trending haha

Destiny, bringing friends and relationships together since 2014 Anyway, sounds like he needs too much attention and its time for you to go solo again..plenty of other guardians out there..

Do what you want. At least he understands and plays games with you. I gave had girls that look down on me for paying, and thought it was stupid. Enjoy your relationship and enjoy your gaming. If you can't do both, you aren't the one causing the problem.

Not at all. We play it together lol. If anything though, he should also play a game whenever your playing so the both of you won't get mad at each other for not paying attention to one another. Then again, he's your boyfriend, you should give him more attention then you do to a video game. Destiny won't bee there for you when you really need it to be, your boyfriend will always be there for you. He deserves the up most attention. He shouldn't have to compete against a video game.

My previous significant other would always be with me..like 24/7, she was like some alien parasite, sucking the fun out of my life. I understand that she wants to be with me, BUT FOR GODS SAKE SHE WAITED OUTSIDE THE BATHROOM FOR ME!!! Thank god she realized my frustration and dumped me!

My old lady used to whine and b!tch, so I bought a nice headset (karga afterglows). Now she knows I cant hear her so she prances around with her boobs out and just has to vacuum during raids. Its just a fact of life for gamers.

he should just get back on. I mean if I had a GF, id play a game with her even if I thought it was crap or boring , cause knowing myself i'd do some stuff this hypothetical woman wouldn't enjoy playing ether . besides he's shouldn't be that clingy , losing you for a handful of hours to run weeklies and raids , like OMG , its like totally like your ignoring him and hurting his feelings, I mean wow , you are a mean lady .lol

My girlfriend prances around naked, trying to get my attention when I'm playing. Even resorts to some more uh, extreme measures, whiiiile I'm playing. In the end she just logs on too since I bought two ps4s, lol.

I'd play something else while my girlfriend plays something I didn't like. I'd go hang out with her and do my own thing while still being in her company. Sounds like neither of you are really trying to make it work. I can work a 9 - 5, get all my shit done on Destiny, and still hang out with a significant other (if I had one). Life isn't that f*ckin' hard, people. Lol
