going under the stairs or jumping on top of the light?
Just wondering because screw that lol
Played it last night with two friends and if we didn't go under the stairs we would have had little chance of beating it.
Edit: Thanks for all the honest posts and tut, tut, tut to the liars. Stats don't lie ;-)

Greybushにより編集済み: 1/8/2015 5:05:56 PMDid it Tuesday with my 30 titan, another 30 titan and a 31 warlock. IB and BH made it easy with the second titan clearing the trash. I got shards and .44MK exotic greeves. No stairs. No light. No back corridor. Ran it again with my 28 warlock and a lfg team. Got waxed several times till someone jumped on the light with ghorn and IB.

Our sniper hid under the stairs and kept pressure on Valus. We cleared trash that was blocking his shots from outside and stayed to the left side of the room (relative to entrance) no psions spawn over there. Also rockets / small arms fire at Valus when appropriate. Less cover from the trash, but we got it done both times.

1 返信Last night, I brought my Corrective Measure and Atheon's Epilogue, tried NOT to hode under stairs or behind boxes. It's pretty difficult. The phalanxs just continue to fire even when you're hiding.

Me and my two other Titan buddies did it without hiding in the safe spots. Do note though all of us were defenders with weapons of light buff and I was the only one with the helm of saint 14 in the team. We were up at the second level the one in front up the ramp from the door to enter to fight valus. The only thing we needed to watch out for were the yellow health Psions and phalanx or whatevs. Sniping his head got easy after that.

I have no friends in Destiny and am too antisocial to play with randoms, and I saw the opportunity to actually complete a weekly strike on my own for the first time, so yeah I didn't do it fairly. +Respect to the people who beat him legit!

First character... no hiding. We had a 32 titan with us and he had a bubble with WoL and a Gally.... it was over pretty quick. Second character... two 31s and a 29.... it was pretty pitiful and the Pisons were beating our asses so yes, we hid wherever we could. I spent half that final fight running around in invisible mode reviving others while begging our one warlock to wait for the revive and not use his super (like he did on the first attempt... which made us wipe/orbit). This game took us 1 hour 25 minutes.

Other two times we used tactical hiding(just a nice way of saying we hid like little bitches.. Lol) of the wizards can do it.. And the captains can do it.. I sure as hell will not try and almost go into an adrenaline overdose of trying to stay alive.. Hide and shoot that fkr in the face.. Lol Edit: Yea ive done the nightfall without hiding.. No it wasnt easy.. did it on 2 more characters with which we did use the hiding spots.. Clarification: wizards do it.. Captains do it.. Refering to the hide and shoot strategy.. Any clearer than that i can not be..

I got lucky, because I didn't know about any good hiding spots in that room. My first run, I was with two guys that were talking about the stairs during the tank battle (well, more of a tank destruction, Three Black Hammers). I had no clue. I used to run laps around that room for ages trying not to get killed. Successfully, but damn it would take forever. Those stairs are fantastic.
