Do pulse rifles need a buff?
I never really see anyone using a pulse rifle, I like them personally, I just don't see a reason to use one over a hand cannon or scout, what do you guys think?
Edit 1: 256 people think pulse rifles need a buff, cmon bungie make it happen!

They need more ammo. Otherwise they aren't too bad. A non-crit damage buff wouldn't hurt either. As of right now, they're like scout rifles with less range, damage and ammo. They do have range/stability over autos, but the low damage/ammo pretty much makes them useless against shielded enemies and majors. Yes, I know there are some high impact scout rifles, I've used those too, they tend to have even less ammo. I had a vanguard one from before the DLC, it hit like a scout if you got headshots, but it had 6 bursts I think. May as well use a hand cannon at that point.

1 返信Bad Juju has its place. Especially with a Void lock and Obsidian Mind. But yes, they are weak in general.

And this reduces effective damage by a lot. As for PvE, its the DPS that makes it lesser to other guns. The 3 shot burst means damage is spread thinner over a longer period of time. Overall, these guns need a little love

1 返信It's the one weapon type I don't think anyone here would say is fine. Pulse riffles are very underpowered comparatively speaking to everything else. I used strange suspect for so long because I loved how it felt but there was no denying the damage output was low.

2 通の返信I love the idea of pulse rifles and i think the new raid pulse rifle will be the first i use alot since strangers rifle. I think they are abit weak overall.
