The Japanese no longer had a navy. Remember? It was largely destroyed at Midway and, as a result of attrition, the Japanese manufacturers could not meet demand.
The Reds had the ability to direct and deploy amphibious landings as they did in Korea. Sure, their navy wasn't great, but, that didn't matter as they were supported by the formidable US Navy.
I made this post to be edgy to see how many people would say that WWII could have been won without America. So, this means Midway would have never happened. Japan's Navy would be full strength. You see what I'm trying to say?
[spoiler]It pisses me off when people say the U.S barely did anything in WWII. Our role in the European theater may have been minor, but the U.S. fought it's ass off in the Pacific theater [/spoiler]
