Why do people expect exotics from the nightfall?
So this is my question with all the hate I see on the fourms about bad nightfall rewards, why do people expect to get an exotic or something they need from the nightfall??
Its a random drop! Be happy with what you get its more than some people have gotten

6 通の返信Because out of my 4 nightfall I got 3 exotics, lucky raspberry, no land beyond, universal remote. Not the best exotics but still cool

2 通の返信I got 5 coins from it. It's like doing the weekly ay highest difficulty and getting 5 lol. Wish radiant shards would drop from if instead.

It's true that you shouldn't "expect" an exotic, but really it's the most probable place to get one aside from buying them from Xur, or a specific raid chest so if you don't get one its back to waiting 7 more days. I'd imagine most contention around not getting an exotic is pretty much knowing that one day a week is all it takes to figure out if you are going to get any exotic. If there were more (reasonable) ways to farm for exotics I'm sure we would hear less about it. With the current limitation of only being allowed to equip one exotic at a time there is really no need for being gated behind finding them too.

BLAIEDにより編集済み: 1/7/2015 8:25:10 PMBecause its literally one of the highest drop rates of exotics in the game. If you do 3 nf every week you have better odds of getting exotics than doing 3 raids. So its not unreasonable for people to have high hopes. Ive gotten 7 my 11 exotics from NFs.

1 返信Because more than %50 of the time, exotics drop. And humans are more likely to remember the more noteworthy drops than the less exciting ones. So when they go into a nightfall, they are thinking about that time they got ice breaker, or hawkmoon. So they set their expectations high. Just a Thought. 2 通の返信Because its the only playlist we got that has the highest percentaged of a potential exotic drop. We all know this as a community, its gotten to the point that some users get at least one exotic a week.

People don't realize that the reward is guaranteed, you get xp boost for the week. Giving you a quicker way to level your gear, motes of light, and a cool look to your character for a week. The fact that you get more than that is just a bonus.

1 返信umm because this is the 1st week ive gotten a legendary from nfall, and all my previous weeks ive only gotten class specific exotics

I do it every week with the exception of the first couple weeks because I was still a noob. But since then I've made three characters and do it with all three, I have never received an exotic, ever from the night fall. Only multiple blues or a legendary.

1 返信I think what annoys people is that nightfall is supposed to be the hardest thing to do on a weekly basis bar raiding. To get rewards like 5 strange coins is a smack in the face when the weekly (which is supposed to be easier) guarantees 9 coins.

I don't have the chance to do nightfalls that often. It's not super important to me to do them, but I've done probably about 3 or 4. Very first one I got Icebreaker. I got Dragon's Breath on another one. But I agree, people shouldn't EXPECT them.

24 通の返信I never complete nightfalls, i just play them to get the 10 ultras/majors bounty for eris & then i leave. I dont see the point of continuing if im gonna get crap at the end. The nightfalls should have set drops i.e. no engram lower than a legendary with an increased chance at an exotic. Although this is only if all cheese spots were fixed. With the amount of cheesing that goes on im glad the rewards are what they are, if you cheese then you deserve to get crap.

I tend to expect something good cause I've done it 4 times and it always gives me something useful. The first time I got the last word second time I got hard light third I got 9 strange coins which ended up letting me get an exotic and the 4th time I got shards which got me to 31. So it's always with it for me
