Explosive rounds vs. Firefly
So much naivete and ignorance about this subject, so I figure I would enlighten some people.
[b]firefly:[/b] a precision kill will cause that enemy to explode and cause ADDITIONAL damage to enemies nearby.
[b]explosive rounds:[/b] REDUCES the amount of damage PER ROUND and turns that LOST damage to an area of effect blast. Kills with the explosion DO NOT activate the firefly ability.
TLW: If you want to use your fatebringer, or any weapon with firefly, do NOT have explosive rounds active or else you lose your firefly additional blast damage because enemies start dying from the explosive damage, not the precision damage. No precision kill means no firefly explosion.

5 通の返信This is not true you can equip both but firefly only activates from precision kills Fatebringer for life

2 通の返信Both perks do stack. You can activate Firefly on a weapon like Fate Bringer by still having the explosive rounds equipped, but like you said you lose max damage for precision shots and instead deliver the damage to an area. Explosive rounds are still nice, but usually only good for large groups of enemies like thrall.

2 通の返信You can still get headshots to activate Firefly while you have explosive rounds. It's more difficult, but possible. My Crypt Dweller (Dead Orbit Scout Rifle) has both, and I Firefly just fine in PvP.

1 返信Exactly. I figure firefly is the way to go. Way better precision damage and fireflys explosion seems better
