While on patrol on Venus, I stumble across the raid area. I found a level 27 doing the raid. He was hopelessly bouncing between the plates. Knowing how hard it is, I decided to help out. Turns out he was trying to do the raid by himself because he didn't know you needed a full team of 6 to do the raid. Just to help the guy out, I hit up my raid group, we grabbed our characters and backpacked him through the raid. I found it cool that some guardians can stop what they are doing to help out other low level players. This is something that isn't all there in today's community. Kind of sad really. Thought I'd share my story of my adopted noob.

So cool to see this post getting so much love. I was originally skeptical of posting this because I thought no one would care. Posted it anyway. Glad I did. Seeing as how I see these nice responses and cool stories of other guardians doing the same.

1 返信poppetにより編集済み: 4/3/2015 10:49:52 PMA friend and I were patrolling earth and ran across a L4 noob. We got him to join our fireteam to help him out and ran a few bounties to give him some exp. After answering a few noob qs 'how do I use my special? (ahh you mean your super?) why is your gun gold?(I'm a L31 and have grinder my ass off) How do I change gear? (umm have you seen the menu) Why can't I damage anyone? (you're a L4 and they're 6/8). We got him to a few of the Gold chest spots then ran then sepkis strike and carried him thru. He started getting really cocky and tried to order us around, telling us to hurry up and revive him, we need him to kill everything because he's awesome, etc. Finished the strike then booted him. I'm keen to help other noobs but be respectful. I remember when I got help so I'm just paying it forward but can't stand noob attitude.

Cruise through with a forum group. Back to orbit. Hey my brother has a character on this account a 29 would you help him. FML. Ok. Run the weekly with the brother. Wants to do vog. I switch over characters and run though it again. Had good fun helping out, next couple days I heard from them. Progressing nicely, they grow up so fast.

Similar story with my adopt a newb, I was asked one day if I could help with a nightfall. I did and it snowballed, now all his friends hit me up several times a day. So my clan runs crota 3 times every tuesday, and we decided that we would take 3 at a time and just bring them through. No issues our group 3 man's the raid every week. Now though it gets overwhelming with the amount requests they send every day. I don't mind helping but sometimes I want to run my own stuff.

3s1kにより編集済み: 3/13/2015 11:12:59 PMPoor guy/girl. It amazes me how many people still haven't done the raids. That's why I love watching Professor Broman on Twitch. He has a daily "Vault of Chuckles" were he runs firstimers through the raid and makes them hold the relic at templar. So awesome to watch. Good job taking that guardian under your wing. Im sure it really does mean a lot to him.
