Why I care about cheating in Crota raid
Those of us who did it legit spent 7-10 hours on the raid the first time. We learned to communicate, practiced our timing and finally after hours of frustration took down Crota.
The reason people are frustrated against those that CHEAT not cheese is because they didn't have to put in the work in order to get the gear. They just cheat the game and get the same loot as those that put in the time. To top it off we then have to hear people come up with lame excuses on why cheating is OK.
That is why I care what other people do, because the time I put in should be worth something otherwise it cheapens the entire experience. I partially blame Bungie for letting it happen but mostly I am disappointed in the players.
Edit - I wish there was meta data attached to posts like age, income, gender, etc. It would be interesting to see how responses correlate.
Edit 2 - For those saying get a life, why do you care, why so serious. I say it is possible to care about something and not spend every waking moment thinking about it. It's not like I go to bed worrying about what other people do. It's just an interesting discussion topic with a wide variety of opinions. Using critical thinking and having a discussion on a topic that at the end of day doesn't really matter is about the same as watching videos of cats on reddit..... lol. Lots of way to waste time at work....
Edit 3 - Obviously this just a video game so exploiting isn't lawfully wrong. Morality is another issue. Of course it is also a matter of severity and damage caused. Again this is a video game so in many eyes there is a who cares attitude. I just choose to draw my line differently than other people. That wasn't my original argument but I feel like the journey should be worth something and want other people to have my same view. That is wrong and I shouldn't force my views on other people and really how can you do that on a forum but I would be willing to bet that most people are on forums to feel validated and have our beliefs confirmed. Obviously that blew up in my face. haha.

I agree with you but this all began with VoG...people who cheesed VoG got ahead of the game...fast...and what bungie and tried to fix with CE they messed up bad..handing out gear faster and easier!! At least prior it took a lot of raids to Max to 30..now it's hand outs..which burns a lot of the core players which most are losing interest....there is no challenge to this game ....vog is still by far more challenging than ce...CE raid developers need to go back to square one and redo the raid it is sad people can solo the raid....yet the boss as well....it just shows the gamers are out doing developers thoughts ...

I don't like cheating because I did the whole raid once properly which took 7-10 hours and all the other times we cheesed the whole raid and skipped the deathsinger and I always say let's do it properly but noone agrees so what am I going to do I don't want to take a long time with ppl that don't know but I don't want to do it in 20 mins

2 通の返信I think it's just bad cause it's manipulating the network.. It's the worst exploit I have seen yet on the raids. I don't even know how Bungie will fix it since it's lag. I actually wouldn't even mind if they did something like "if the host disconnects, it's an immediate wipe or everyone returns to orbit". I usually beat Crota with my team in 5 minutes anyway so I wouldn't mind this type of fix, however, I cant say the same for those who struggle with Crota.

If you care about something that doesn't affect you in any way, shape or form, then you don't deserve to be playing this game, because the ignorance of people in this community is affecting my better judgement.

12 通の返信It's a video game. Nothing you get is "worth" anything, and your time spent playing it is, ultimately, a waste. You're not doing anything productive while playing Destiny. The point is to have fun. And if you let players you aren't even playing with impact how much fun you're having then you need some perspective. Consider this your wake-up call.

First raid with my clan on the 9th @ 3am: lanterns=20 minutes Bridge=2 hours Death singer= 40 minutes Crota: 2 hours 35 minutes We carried a 29 that left during crota at which point we gained another 30. Once we figured out the ogres spawn pattern & that they spawn when the challis holder dies, it wasn't hard to beat - just a very long grind with no 31's I enjoy playing it legit, but now that I have beat it legit I'm the silent guy that goes with the flow. I'm not gonna leave a group and try to find a group to beat it legit when everyone is cheesing, that just send harder than actually beating it legit lol. I'll point out that it's easy to beat legit & we should just try that but how often does that lead to people saying "your right! OK guys, we aren't gonna cheese!"

That's like me telling you to only drive your car 45 mph because I only drive mine 45 because its safe (I don't really drive slow just an example). I paid 60$+20$ just like you did so I should be able to play it how I want, and me having raid gear in no way effects you.

1 返信Nice work, maybe you should have figured his to cheese it and not spend 7 to 10 hours to beat it. The game is an evolving entity. Things like this happen. Congrats on your hard work. Its not cheapened because someone else found another way.

Not that the cheat is acceptable... but your reasoning isn't quite up to par. You maxed out level 30 vog raid gear? Now you can buy 31 with no raid. You max out an exotic to 300? Now they drop free of charge to 331 max. You put in countless hours for stuff that people now get without any of the effort you put in. That's the same thing. The point is valid, but your argument is completely wrong. C-
