Husk of the Pit drop a scam?
Alright, So I kid you not when I say I have spent all day (7 hours) farming for the Husk of the Pit in both 'Fist of Crota' and patrols. I have literally been killing nothing but Blades, so much in fact that I have fully upgraded two Raid Gear items and my Hard Light. I'm seriously stressed out about this. All my friends seem to just jump into a random match and get it their first try. Is it possible that I'm seriously just extremely unlucky, or is Destiny screwing with me?
Getting super freaking aggravated with this.

Had a bounty for patrol missions on moon and killing blades of crota so I killed the first blade Husk of the pit Killed the second Husk of the pit Now I have three moral of the story I pretty damn lucky

I've had the same problem grinned for it since I first heard it started dropping still nothing. Worst part is this guy I know jumps in the party and asks how to get it. I tell him to do fist of crota over and over. Even told him not to get his hopes up... he got it on his fifth kill ಥ_ಥ

I got one on 3rd try but I think it is a scam!! A way for bungie to scam hardcores into playing on day when they can't raid,nightfall,weekly they want you to play more days.. And it's a scam to get the non raiders to raid

It's random. Farmed Crota's fist for about 1.25 hours yesterday and got it after about the 30th sword. On normal difficulty, no black wax used. If you really want it just keep at it. If not, move on and it could very well drop just through your normal actions. Good luck.

I got it randomly on the Moon. I can't remember if I was playing patrol or doing a story mission, but it definitely dropped from one of the Blades. FYI (you may know this, but I didn't), it seems to only gain experience from killing Hive enemies, so equip a different primary when you turn in bounties or do anything besides kill Hive. Also, it dropped for my Warlock and he's not even Rank 1 with Eris yet, so that doesn't seem to affect whether it drops or not.

stubanga13により編集済み: 12/22/2014 12:03:42 AMGot it on earth patrol doing bounties...didn't kill the acrolyte dudes first... just the big sword weilding, roid rage dude. Read somewhere after that this was a proposed method. Not sure if just luck but might be worth a try dude. Rngesus be damned!!!

Don't worry about it. Won't matter to later I January. Just get your Eris to rank 3/4 and eventually, it'll fall in your lap. I got mine when I wasn't looking, it doesn't improve your chances but it reduces frustration.
