I just saw post about storing vaults in your ship, this is a great idea, however I'm taking it a little farther... There should be a button while in orbit called [ship] which would open a menu showing all your characters and your vault. From there you can switch your characters quickly and get stuff from your vault. This would also make a great use for your ships. This would especially be effective for raids as people constantly switch characters and take stuff from the vault.
