Simple and Concise Guide to Obtaining the Husk of the Pit
Disclaimer: I didn't realize my profile was hidden. It is public now so you can see the HOTP on my Warlock. It will be equipped until further notice as I will be working on leveling it up when I get off work.
Finally got the Husk of the Pit from farming Blades of Crota
I know there are many threads out there on this but here is my experience:
1. Farmed the level 24 mission [i]"Fist of Crota"[/i] for the[b] Blade of Crota[/b] that spawns right after the opening area.
2. Level 30/31 Warlock in the full game (not required to be that level just showing that it can drop at any level)
3. Took me almost 2 hours worth of spawns (leaving mission and restarting) to get it to drop
4. Did not use a Black Wax Idol when I got it (but its ok to use one if you want the glimmer)
5.Results are not typical because my friend killed 3 and got it....i hate him lol
EDIT:
IT POPS UP LIKE WHEN YOU RECEIVE RAID GEAR! IT IS NOT A PYRAMID DROP OR AN ENGRAM!
ANY CONSOLE
ANY LEVEL (1-32)
ANY DIFFICULTY
ERIS RANK DOES NOT MATTER
YOU CAN GET IT FROM PATROL BoC AS WELL

I've not farmed the mission, but I've killed at least 100 Swordbearers on the Moon and in the Cosmodrome. I kill one every time I see 'The Swords of Crota have started a ritual' on my screen. Still haven't gotten it.

1 返信I'm thinking I've been very fortunate and have three of them. Has anyone dismantled one yet? If so...what did you receive?

Man this is really stupid everything is about luck I got my vex and it was much easier from getting the husk of the pit everything is about luck I tried so many times maybe it's my luck because I have 12 exotic wopens and non of it is an auto rifle

3 通の返信I dismantled it thinking it was a low white weapon; I just found that it was an exotic today. /facepalm Wonder if it can drop twice for the same toon.

1 返信Can the same character find more than one Husk weapon, also, can the same character find more than one Husk if there is presently a Husk in that character's inventory?

I farmed that mission for 2 hours with no luck, so then I went on earth patrol and stayed in a room that spawns the swords, 3 spawned in a row and on the 3rd I got it :) no black wax and I was rank 2 with Eris (though I heard those don't matter).

3 通の返信A friend of mine picked it up killing the hive when we were doing patrols on the moon. Totally random drop.
