Destiny is just like that R&B song,"The Heart wants what it wants"
So many reasons to stop playing and leave Bungie high and dry, I could go on and on complaining.
For some reason I still love the game and I'm curious if I'm the only one on the forum who feels this way??
EDIT: Another thing comes to mind...let's say they never ended up making a Destiny 2 and they were not making any more, would we still be able to play Destiny 1 or will it be shut down?

With the ability to download the game digitally I won't pre order although I am completely in love with Destiny. The reason I won't pre order is just in case they change the game in some dramatic way that makes me not want to play it.

I regret terribly that I did not pre-order the Ghost edition, I would have LOVED the extra swag, to say nothing of the effing ghost itself! So, if they do something similar for the second game, and I can afford it, then hells yeah! Like white on rice, baby, I be ALL over that.

3 通の返信No I won't be pre ordering. Lately developers and publishers seem to think it's acceptable to over hype games, sometimes with straight up lies. They also seem to think it's ok to launch a game that's riddled with bugs. Pre ordering games supports these kind of launch products because why would they care what they release if they already have your money for it? Marketing and hype is the name of the game for the industry these days and I for one will no longer support it. If your product stands up to both critical and user reviews then yes, have my money. But until your product proves itself on it's own merits and not the marketing leading up to it, forget it

disheartening to see the lack of community feedback from Bungie. They've pretty much gone silent and no longer appear to even respond to comments. No community management, no engagement anymore. Sad really. I know there's lots of complaints, but to just not respond is not the way to go or to keep hope alive. Based on the many faults of Destiny and the lack of owning up to, really anything, I can't see a pre-order at all. Not going to be close minded and say I won't buy it, but it is definitely a wait for release tile and more thorough consideration of where I put my $$.

2 通の返信It depends on if the 2nd game is a continuation of this one where characters and gear cross over or if I have to start over from scratch. If I have to start from level 1 again probably not because although this game is a lot of fun despite its flaws I do not want to go down this rabbit hole again.

I think Destiny 2 is a distinct possibility. I think Destiny as it is has potential to get better and if the next DLC makes some good improvements is well received I would guess we will continue to see expansions rather than an all out sequel, at least for a couple years. I would at least hope so, since a Destiny 2 would need to have been in the works for several years now if it's going to be any good, lol.

Unlikely. Unless they take out their boundaries where I can't get on top of a simple hill, if they just got rid of that id be a much happier guardian. The game would have to be a lot different IMO for me to buy.

5 通の返信Ninebreakerにより編集済み: 12/17/2014 6:21:26 PMNo way. I want to read reviews and watch gameplay videos. I want to know what I'm actually getting, not just what the developer advertises it to be. And that goes for any game. Even if the game itself is 100% going to be good, it could have horrible problems(see the master chief collection). Preordering is a cancer in the video game industry.
