I understand starting completely over. But the damn going to orbit, and then having to go thru the flight scene again and again is so stupid. Not to mention it is re-loading the strike over and over tying up bandwidth that it has already loaded. Just get rid of the returning to orbit after a wipe, and just start it back at the beginning.

1 返信I agree 100%. Why not start us over at the beginning instead of going back to orbit? Only reason I can think of is to rub in how difficult it's supposed to be.

9 通の返信That's literally why it's called nightfall. The modifier for going to orbit upon death is literally called nightfall. So taking it away just makes it a weekly. TADAA!! And for my my next trick...

7 通の返信Bungie will most likely help you casuals out here instead of helping the competitive critical thinker for this game so keep on bitching about how you suck and dont know how to avoid death in this very non complex and monotonous game.

5 通の返信I hate orbit so much. What's the point? Can't they just get rid of orbit and do everything from the tower?

FunkTheWorldにより編集済み: 12/16/2014 5:54:54 PMYeah, I never understood why they kicked you all the way to orbit instead of just starting you from the very beginning. It's just a waste of time to go back and forth, why not just remove checkpoints? Seems like a much simpler way of handling it, and more efficient. I solo the nightfall every Tuesday on all three of my characters because I have class when all my friends are doing it, it's pretty annoying to get kicked all the way out to orbit when something as simple as a complete reset could be put in rather than making me go through two load screens.

3 通の返信I think the idea is to make you want to not die or something. Strange concept, I know, but there may be something to it

Agreed. Starting from the beginning without the cut scene is punishment enough for wiping. Although, you could just try not dying. Lest you are soloing or are carrying under leveled mates, you shouldn't have too worry too much about a full wipe. A little strategy goes a long way.

9 通の返信Hooligantuanにより編集済み: 12/16/2014 5:04:45 PMKick to Orbit has always been -blam!-ing stupid. People circumvent it anyway if they're playing with more than one person. It ends up just shafting the solo player and reinforcing already extremely beneficial co-op player. I'm trying to solo the Nightfall now, raised to -blam!-ing level 30, and it's a massive goddamned disappointment being slammed by Hive Knights and Wizards during Arc Burn. Two -blam!-ing hits and I am dead. I haven't even cleared the last Knight out of the first -blam!-ing room yet because his shield comes back up so fast, is so -blam!-ing durable, and he regenerates. About to give the -blam!- up - on the Nightfall, on getting Radiant Light for this week's Iron Banner. Giving up on -blam!-ing Destiny. I'm a firm believer that Kick-to-Orbit is terrible design, and Nightfall should just be a harder version of the mission, with 5 special effects running. I don't know why that isn't enough. Bungie has Difficulty mixed up with Obnoxious.

I can see your point. I guess if they wanted, they could make it like the raid and port everyone in if the team wipes. But Strikes begin in public areas, so that is why there is a load from orbit. I hate dying in Nightfalls, Hell last week that Omnigul b!+ch killed us as we got her down to 1/3 health and we had to start that s#!+ over. But that was our fault (and those knights who throw boomer blasts like Joe Montana), but we beat it eventually. I am glad I won't have to do that strike again for 6 weeks....
