Anyone buy armor for looks instead of stats?
I would rather look like a badass in combat instead of wearing gear just for stats. What do you guys think? I've meet other players who just want to get to 30 but dont wear what they like. Also they should make shaders for sparrows. EDIT They could invent some kind of vanity slot

This is what I did in the beta and before level 20 because we couldn't get shaders. Even if a different armor piece was better I kept it all matching 👍[spoiler][i]badass in the battlefield 👌[/i][/spoiler]

1 返信Looks is the first requirement for me. That's why I have the Insurmountable Skullfort and the Apotheosis Veil. They're meh for abilities, but they look sick on my characters. Meanwhile that roman looking helmet is the greatest thing since sliced bread for my Titan, but to hell with that ugly thing. It's a video game. I refuse to look uncool for any reason. That's the whole point.

5 通の返信My 8yr old son. Same with weapons. I ground him from playing when he does that. Gotta send him on the right path lol. He was amazed when he saw how much he leveled up whenever I chose his armor for him that he had in his inventory. But then he switched back to the weaker stuff when i wasnt looking because it looked "cooler".

I bought some new armor from a combination of the 2. I was tired of looking at the same old Titan, so I checked out the vanguard armor. Bought the new gauntlets since they didn't require a commendation and the perks fell into my playstyle.

Gluehighにより編集済み: 12/11/2014 9:16:58 PMI was split between the new helmets for Vanguard, but I ended up getting the "ugly" one cus it suited my play style. Do what Blizzard did with WoW. Let you change the look of the item, but keep the stat. Exotics should be able to be changed as well, but you can't make crap gear look like a exotic.

5 通の返信gods, i wish i could pick up, and equip armor, based on aesthetics .....unfortunately, that's the fastest way to get yourself fragged. bungie REALLY should make gear evolve-able...then we could have armor that looked cool, and was a reflection of our individuality, AND had stats that would keep us safe.....as it is now, people wear high-stat armor that's uglier than a hat full of assholes, and everyone ends up looking very samey....
