Why the hell does everyone pass up the 1st chest after the Templar?
Why does everyone skip the 1st chest, that's in the "Spirit Bloom" room? I've never opened it because it's always announced not to. Out of respect for the team I follow the wishes of my teammates, but no one can really give a good reason not to... Mostly it's about a better chance at receiving a better drop from a chest further in. I've also heard that it is all a rumor and that we are skipping it for no reason and missing out on loot.
Please enlighten me about the pros & cons about looting the chest or not... I'm really tempted to open it the next time I run the raid just to test it myself, not without letting my team know ahead of time.

8 通の返信it actually doesn't matter now, since killing the Templar without letting him teleport is harder now you can't cheese him. if you open it, you get spirit bloom, and maybe a green item. you're not missing out.

There's a myth that opening spirit bloom gets rid of the templar teleport chest, or changes drop rates in subsequent chests, or creates a despawn timer. In reality it doesn't do anything, but it's just a regular Venus chest so you shouldn't get anything good out of it.

I know when I would run it everyone was worried that if they opened that chest it would make the chest for pushing ( or better put for keeping him from teleporting ) not appear. Something that seems to be completely false. I have seen it vanish once when we were waiting for the rest of the fireteam and that was when two members died and took about 5 minutes to get down to the chest. So my guess is paranoia.

1 返信There is only spirit bloom in that chest and some feel that opening it messes up their rng. You're not sacrificing much to avoid this so that's why people skip it.

4 通の返信heisenburg6969により編集済み: 12/8/2014 5:51:45 PMBecause if you grab the chest inside the cave after the templar it will lower your chances of getting exotics or raid gear its what you would call a trap chest and for those who believe this to be a myth are wrong its true because first time I didnt pick up that chest I got the gjallahorn from the first chest in the maze and second when I we beat atheon on easy following this my friend received sparrow from the raid on easy. Not hard. the chest does not keep other chest from spawning it just lower your chances of getting something you actually want
