Why the hell does everyone pass up the 1st chest after the Templar?
Why does everyone skip the 1st chest, that's in the "Spirit Bloom" room? I've never opened it because it's always announced not to. Out of respect for the team I follow the wishes of my teammates, but no one can really give a good reason not to... Mostly it's about a better chance at receiving a better drop from a chest further in. I've also heard that it is all a rumor and that we are skipping it for no reason and missing out on loot.
Please enlighten me about the pros & cons about looting the chest or not... I'm really tempted to open it the next time I run the raid just to test it myself, not without letting my team know ahead of time.

12 通の返信it despawns a different chest you get for killing the templar without him teleporting.

4 通の返信You are supposed to hit it with two throwing knives simultaneously before you open it to increase your chances of getting an exotic.

4 通の返信All it ever gives you is two spirit bloom and MAYBE a blue engram. It also starts a 2 minute timer for the next chest, 2 minutes, and it disappears.

Let's just say happiest I had heard someone in a while Also I have got 4 legendary emerge and out of that chest so I would suggest opening it always

The only qualifications i have ever relied on for the second chest down the tunnel.. Push Templar off, if we don't do that we just casual the Templar, he eventual teleports and we will be on our way. I never pick that chest up because I hate dismantling green boots... But it does not matter if you touch that chest or not.

5 通の返信It has like 1 spirit bloom in jt. And everytime I open it I never get any good drops. So it's worth it not to open it.

Open it and get your sexy dablooms (arg lol) also it has the same drop chance as a normal chest so don't bet on anything above a green Engram unless u are super lucky :)

3 通の返信It's just superstition. When things are up to luck it makes people crazy. Traditions are also strong in the raid. The loot chests are an example of this. We once thought that they would dissappear quickly like the material chests in patrols, but now that we know they won't dissappear for 4 minutes we still wait for everyone to open at once.

2 通の返信Used to set a 2 minute timer on the templar teleport chest. But now irs near impossible to stop him from teleporting without being overrun by minotours so. Yeahh go ahead and open I've gotten legendary engrams and the rope to heaven ship from it

Because it's a troll bungie set up for the first people to ever do the raid. It makes them think "hell ya! Another chance at some raid gear!" hey open the chest and get spirit blooms and realize that they just got trolled by bungie.
