Built a double Feeder under Transmission lines with a open secondary to boot. 7 miles of it, and it was next to the transcontinental power grid (300,000 KvA) . Even though our 13,200 volt line was obviously dead, the overhead 69,000 volt line and the 3000,000 KvA lines were live. The static conductivity of the bare Aluminum lines were inducing over 1500 volts as we were pulling the line in. Every time we got even within 18 inches of the" dead" wire, it would arc and zap the shit out of us. After we were done, I could not feel my arms for three days.
