Bungie says that getting the new Vanguard and Crucible gear included in The Dark Below will not only require Vanguard & Crucible Marks, but also a new type of currency called "Commendations"; and that you only get these by ranking up with either faction. I'm wondering, is it possible to earn these yet? I leveled up my Vanguard rep a couple times after the patch, and I didn't receive any Vanguard Commendations. Do you have to download the Dark Below in order to get them, or are they simply not available until December 9th when the new Legendary gear is unlocked for everyone?
