1 返信Been of these forums for a day or so because every new or patch on some sort for this game results in a load of kids crying on the forum because they want a easy game, where they don't need to put any effort in to get the best stuff. Same ok shit every month lol -blam!-ing hell, atleast they letting you upgrade hear that you already have and not asking you to get better gear. Takes -blam!- all to level a gun up if you really want to get it levelled. Choose first character, complete bounties, choose second character and do it again. Done within 3 hours or so

bungie's market strategy to keep players playing. instead of just getting new gear as per usual. because its new DLC or IE. (restricted locked areas are now accessible).. bungie decided this is the way to keep players playing their game. because if people just got new gear or upgraded to new gear without losing progress. players wont be playing or grinding for as long as they did previously to achieve the level that they did with their equipment or weapons. players like me are already pretty much through with destiny. we just run Nightfalls/ weeklys' and Raid. and then we are done for the week. im positive that once players have completed the DLC areas and raids. they would also stop playing all the same for already being at end game already when the DLC just came out. so they came out with this RESET progress (PRESTIGE COD style) to keep players playing and hopefully busy enough until the next DLC comes out. its pretty much basic common sense. its Bungies simple market strategy to keep players playing their game by grinding for WEEKS to re-upgrade the new gear, hoping it keeps players occupied long enough for the next DLC. not to mention its all gonna have to be purchased from XUR who only comes out on a weekend basis with randomly selected inventory. if he sells doubles that you already have you are gonna have to wait a whole nother week hoping to get that new piece when a new inventory is rotated. if he doesnt..... rinse and then repeat. Its that Bungie Strategy hoping to keep players busy long enough until the next DLC. i wonder if it will actually keep players playing longer, or lesser than they already are. im voting lesser.

It becomes a new weapon/armor piece. All new gear must all be leveled up. Leveling and upgrading has been made significantly easier. ... Or you can keep your existing progress but suffer a 7.6% base damage loss in comparison to new DLC weapons that you will also need to level up and upgrade. ... What exactly are you crying about?

6 通の返信StorableComaにより編集済み: 12/4/2014 6:59:06 PMYou replaced your starting gear. You replaced your greens, you replaced your blues. Hell if you have raid gear, you already replaced one set of LEGENDARY items. Why do you think getting to 32 wouldn't require the same? The game mechanic from the start was wear, find something better, replace and repeat. Why did you think that would change just because you made it to the end of the available content? The whole main mechanic of the game is grind, replace, grind, replace. Until 30+ content becomes the norm, 300 ATK weapons will work just fine. Raid primary weapons will not drop until HM, HM will not be available till January. So having one weapon above 300 ATK makes you that OP, then the game has bigger problems than exotic upgrades. Destiny may not be an MMO, but the similarities between it and WoW are so close it can be down right scary at times. Destiny is a gear treadmill, and will always be. There is no 'end game'. You can't Beat Destiny, it isn't a traditional game like that. Example. Completing all the content can be called beating the game. Great, what happens when more content gets released, you didn't really beat it? Maybe having all the exotics is beating the game, but someone else says having all exotics and having them all maxed is beating the game. There is no point. Like with all 'endless' games with no linear finish, it's about the journey. Learn to enjoy this, or perhaps MMO style or Gear treadmill games are not for you. All your previous work becomes useless except for moving you forward to the next release/content.

1 返信Yup you reset from the very start. You nailed it. All of your characters are deleted and you need to start at level 1 again. Redo the campaign and grind to 20. Yup, right from the start.

19 通の返信Resetting your weapons is optional if you want them to get the damage boost. But you people are always looking for something to complain about and twist Bungies words.

2 通の返信You really don't grasp the concept they are experimenting with do you? Just wait till its out and see that you arent right and arent entirely wrong. Just wait.

I have been raising this issue on the forums since day 1. Having tiered gear systems is a shitty, SHITTY system. It does not encourage players to create interesting builds, it does not encourage players to play the content they want to play. You are forced to wear 1 set of gear, and play 1 piece of content.

2 通の返信Whether you could or couldnt upgrade exotics you would need to max all the new gear you get anyway, so what the -blam!- are you complaining about

15 通の返信Basically, yes. Every single second, every drop of exp, every material you have spent up to now, was a completely and utterly pointless waste of time. You may as well have never spent any time at all leveling up your gun. Brilliant move bungie.
