(I know it's not a full "wipe" per say...just that was the phrase people were using)
75-80% of people are unhappy with what Bungie is doing to us. That's a HUGE number. Keep taking these people enjoyment away and you're not gonna have very many people left.
It's not like you're going to lose 10% of people. It's the majority of people.
Choose wisely.....little light.
Edit #1: Before you post a reply, take the time to read what other people have already replied so that you don't just put the same redundant message.
It would be better if you add to the discussion and not just post a new "you're pulling this out your ass...you liar."
Edit #2: there is a poll on the "trending" part of the forums. It is in the top 10-15 spot. Check it out, vote. Make it more accurate.the more people that participate the better. Just helps Bungie see what players really want. NO I did not just make the numbers up.
Edit #3: I'm not saying everyone will leave because of this single update. The point is please take into consideration what's best for the greater population. The info I reference is what I saw on forums. But if the majority of the people think differently then yes they should incline towards that. I'm not saying I'm right or if you think differently than me you're wrong. The point is to think of the greater population.
Edit #4: Yes, I know not EVERY single person that plays Destiny across the world gets on this forum. But don't you think that the vast majority of the people on this forum are people who put a lot of time into this game?! From my experience, I don't go into forums for games which i don't play much. I only go into sites of games which I am very involved in. I believe we still get a good size sample and that the community of this forum is a good representation of the overall players.

2 通の返信I love when numbers get pulled out of thin air....our somewhere more private. I don't really care about the wipe. I'm willing to hold judgement until I see how this goes. And with the old bounties and the new bounties from Eris leveling a weapon with telemetry should go quick. No reason to freak out. It's a game people. Treat it like one. Don't be so serious.

10 通の返信*75-80% of people that visit Bungie.net forums and vote in polls. Just wanted to make that correction for you. For example, what percentage of players that own Destiny visit the Bungie.net forums? And of those people, what percentage vote in polls? See, I have a group of about 10 friends that play this game quite a bit. We're all good and have invested time in the game. Run raids together all the time. Only two of us get on these forums. The other eight don't even know about the exotic reset. When it happens, in game, they'll just think, "Hmph, this is new" and keep playing. So, chill out.
75-80% of people are unhappy with what Bungie is doing to us.
75-80% of people on this forum. Most of the player base don't even know there's a forum, many of those that do know like the game and won't spend time on the forums because of the toxic atmosphere, and what we're left with as an online community is mostly whiners since apparently that's all the internet is for now. Now I'm not saying 80% of those poll respondents aren't unhappy - shit, I'm not even saying they're wrong - but you can't simply extrapolate that across the whole player base.

9 通の返信Tricky5hiftにより編集済み: 12/4/2014 9:25:27 PMAnd about 100% haven't even experienced the exotic wipe yet. How can people cry and bitch about something that hasn't even been implemented yet?

Where did the 75-80% number come from? Do you have a source that polled people from different systems, forums ect.? Or is this a number you came up with from viewing this one forum. You do understand this forum is a small part of the Destiny community. Also the majority of the people that are fine with the changes or even like the changes arent creating post saying they do or even responding.

8 通の返信Most people are blowing this way out of proportion. You grinded to get your perks up AND you attack power to 300 from a base of 260. The reset just takes the perks away and the new base start attack is basically at the SAME attack power as your previously maxed out exotic. They said to upgrade the new exotic will be faster also. People are basing their previous experience on the old hours of grinding for materials. Right now, Getting 20 materials is as easy as walking over to the quartermaster and buying materials for 10 marks. People don't realize this game has MMO "Aspects". In other games that have MMO parts, or just flat out MMO's period, you grind for the weapons and then with the expansion comes out, those weapons are worthless. At least Bungie gave us a way to keep our exotics and still make them relevant. Also.......people hear "reset" and automatically think what they did when out the window. You choose to upgrade. Leave your exotic at 300 and don't upgrade. No biggie. It will only affect 1 aspect of this game and that will be the level 32 Crota's End Raid. Current 300 exotics are perfectly fine for 98% of the game. Look up people.......The sky isn't falling. Step back and take a deep breath. Destiny's way of keep these weapons relevant is better than throwing them away like other games.

2 通の返信Do you think all the people who play destiny are on the forums? Sure there a ton of people complaining about it but I bet that those people are less than 10% of the population of destiny.
-
You just mean 70 to 80% of people on the forum don't you? Or are you including a couple of your friends opinions as well as your own. Have you grasped how many people play this game? The people on the forum are a minute amount of the community. I'm not saying your wrong for having an opinion, just that your statistic/percentage is probably way off.

2 通の返信In MMO type games, you level your Avatar to be able to get better items. When an expansion comes out, you level yourself up(using time and materials), you raid(using time and materials, and 20-30 people) to get the item you want and then you simply destroy the old item. Here you are given an option to upgrade an item you already have, rather than destroy it. You grind to get the item to where it is(originally), and again to get it back up on the new item. It's the same as going from level 50 to level 60, and then getting level 60 items. You had to work to get those level 50 items, and now you have to work to get those level 60 items. In Destiny it's not so drastic. You don't have to go out and "Get" new items, or grind new levels to get it...you already have it. You just need to put in a little time to upgrade it to the standard of the new weapons of the expansion....and you don't even have to do that if you don't want to.

11 通の返信75-80% of people from a survey conducted where? In your head? Just people posting? Some other site you believe is the entire community? Was it representative of gamers across every country the game is available, in every language available as to not be biased? How can it represent the entire community if it does not include the entire community's beliefs and diversity?
-
Where are you getting your percentages from? A poll on a forum that does not speak for all Destiny players? Just because 80 percent of the people on this website disagree that does not make the majority. 80 percent of people on here are complaining about something every week.
