Personally I am now not buying the dlc and will probably trade the game - thus losing bungie sales. This is because they are deleting our exotic progress on Tuesday and forcing us all to start from scratch if we want our exotics to be practical moving forward.
Who else is now spending their money elsewhere and giving up the game?
Many are complaining about the time it will take to re-level exotics. No no no no no. I've spent hours upgrading my exotics but doing that again is NOT MY COMPLAINT!
The problem is that our effort has literally been deleted because you do not need to have levelled the gun in order to evolve it to the next level.
If you needed your gun to be fully levelled before you could upgrade it i would actually be excited for this as the added power would mean we could finish the strikes faster
They have done it this way so that new players can immediately catch up with those further in the game. I have a couple of un-levelled exotics (bad juju, last word, truth, and that crappy bounty machine gun) and I'm glad I never spent the time to level them! This is not right
This is what we need to complain about: Bungie need to make it so that a weapon has to be fully upgraded before we can increase the level like this. One voice people!
Edit: because some people failed reading comprehension, let me state that of course I know that nobody is holding a gun to our heads making us upgrade, but if we want our guns to remain practical to use we will need to do this, even if not immediately.

2 通の返信When you "reset" your stats it goes to 302 attack. Progression is lost but damage still the same

2 通の返信AJIc3CoLdにより編集済み: 12/5/2014 6:10:36 PMThis recent debacle will mean I play much less because I won't be leveling multiple weapons/armor pieces or grinding the new raid after I get my gear. Weapons have a very short shelf life so no point in trying to collect them all or get multiples across all characters. I've accumulated probably 600 or so hours but my playtime from this point forward is going to decrease dramatically. This doesn't make me happy, I love this game but I don't really have a choice in the matter.

Why is it that when something doesn't go someone's way in this game it's considered a slap to the face or bungie spitting on its audience cause their evil and don't appreciate anything. If this game is causing so much distress then don't play it, ignore that it exists and go live in a destiny free world. Cause apparently bungie releasing this game has ruined the world and if they don't give you everything you want because you want it it's because they hate freedom and puppies and specifically you.

Another lil baby whining about how they WONT buy the DLC. You'll buy it the first day it comes out if you haven't already pre-ordered it. If you quit, great, stop crying on the forums - no one gives a shit about you.

1 返信Remember before COD came out. Everyone was like this - Player: Oh when COD comes out, i am gonna STOP playing this stupid game. Bye bye destiny. Player 2: No 1 will play this game when COD comes out. I am soooo done with this game. Player 3: Blam this game. It's all broken. I aint playing anymore. COD here i come. Player 4: Bye bye destiny. We will not miss you. "And so many other players decided to make a emo thread about them quiting the game because of another game, Yet here they are... playing destiny again after the release of COD" No 1 cares if you're done playing, quiting, etc You'll be playing destiny again before you know it. (And you know it.)

1 返信The tears are strong with this one.. Just quit then, don't keep playing and bitching about it. We don't need people like you around.

I've stuck with the game really trying hard to enjoy it but I don't know if I'm going to stay much longer after the Dark Below. I really do not like the sound of a lot of their changes especially the exotics upgrades. But that's the problem, I've tried too hard to enjoy it. I wanted to because of how great Halo was, I thought Bungie couldn't possibly be wrong, they're trying their best. I buy a game to enjoy the time spent playing not this headache and frustration. Kind of a bit late since I bought the digital guardian edition not long ago, so they've already got my money. Hate on me all you want, I've stuck through it this far and tried not to whine but if I'm not happy with the Dark Below then I'm leaving.

3 通の返信dirtにより編集済み: 12/5/2014 6:22:55 AMHow many exotics do you actually use regularly? Probably just a few, and you'll be getting new ones with the DLC. It's not that big of a deal. Get over it.

2 通の返信Please don't ever play any MMO in your gaming days to come. You will only be upset that gear you spent a ton of time finding, making, upgrading, etc is obsolete whenever any dlc, new raid, expansion, etc comes out. Generally speaking it's MUCH more time invested than destiny requires. Just trying to save you a future headache.

10 通の返信It takes one day with telemetry and a couple characters to get your weapon at least up to the exotic perk again. Big frakking deal.

Very true. I think its a calcuation thing. The devs / publisher believe that they are probably gonna loose a few hardcore players who quit playing the game because their effort is nullified. But they calculate a lot of new players rushing in because they are literally on the same level as the hardcore gamers. Thats their biggest nerf up to date. What do you think - will this calculation succeed in the long run?
-
How much money did they burn? Probably not enough to even notice or care about. ....they will not miss you in the slightest, neither will anyone else. ...what I will miss is these stupid posts from entitled children crying about stupid shit. ...so please, whatever you do, don't stop posted these ok

a potatoにより編集済み: 12/5/2014 6:12:55 AMI haven't logged in since the news dropped despite not doing ANY of the major lockouts since the reset. I feel no compelling reason to do so at this point. I'm a junkie for epic storylines and don't care about which media is used. I'm open to suggestions and may just start doing general research. In the mean time i'm enjoying watching this hindenberg catch fire, and i'll just be pouring a lot more time into work. We're at a year end sprint and my boss will be appreciative.

You dont have to reset them, but even if you did they start at 302 damage. So I dont see what the complaining ia about. Hope you find a game you like though I guess, and goodluck getting what you paid for it when you trade it in.
-
1 返信Isn't this just going to be unlocking the perks again? They'll still get 300 damage from what I've heard, but now the max damage gets increased. I dunno. Maybe I misunderstood the whole thing.

The only person losing money would b you haha! U trade in ur game someone buys it and loves it. They decide then to buy the dlc and bungie makes money. The only person who loses money was the idiot who traded it in to get maybe half of what you paid if ur lucky.
