The New Exotic Weapon for PS4 #WTF - An apology?
This has been edited. The original post was different. I'll explain why....
I started this after getting the red mist, ahving seen that another weapon is to be PS4 exclusive. I was angry that XB users don't get it straight away and so I went on a rant.
I said that we were being ripped off as XBox players, believing my first opinion to be the right one, as we tend to do. Well I do anyway. I assumed we were all paying the same for a different amount of content.
I was aware of the Sony exclusives and that they would be coming to the rest of us later in 2015. I was also aware that PS users have had the rough end of such deals in the past, so maybe it's time they get something XB players don't.
I've been corrected (in various ways lol) and have calmed down now, seeing that the content in the DLC is actually the same for everyone, but PS users are being given a kind of gift from Sony. This is how it's gone into my head anyway ;)
So apologies for diving right in and shouting out about something I actually didn't fully understand. And to a few of you, sorry for biting when you corrected me (no apologies to the name-callers though, those funny kids)
However one point I did make originally still stands: This is yet another example of the gaming industry becoming a dark, evil version of what it started out as.
In recent years, we have regularly seen one group of gamers feeling left out, disappointed or even ripped off.
Some companies now can't hold their head up with pride because they view customers as millions of tiny coins, waiting to throw themselves at the latest mess of a release in a game series.
Anyway, that wasn't why I wrote the post.
So I have been educated and had incorrect views of why the new content was PS4 only.
Thanks to eveyone who showed me. I'm not being sarcastic here, I'm actually relieved that I had it wrong.
Those who jumped straight in with offensive remarks or insults, I know you're sorry ;)

4 通の返信It doesnt matter that they are getting one extra gun probably gonna end up like shìt just like the ps community.why do you want an extra gun if other games are coming (looks at The Division) which is getting content first on xb1

1 返信I just want everyone to know its not bungie you should be mad at! Its activison! They forced the deal and control the content released. On the other hand bungie planned Destiny to be playstation exclusive until activison made them release for both.

I do believe this is the first time I have seen someone take in the information presented and stated that they understood why PS has exclusives. You have restored a little faith in this community OP as I was quickly losing it.

This is ridiculous. It baffles me that console wars still rage on with such intensity. I've been on both sides of this fence and I currently reside on the Xbox side. If you honestly think that Bungie went out of their way to develop extra content because Sony paid them to... You are a lost cause. The content was already in development, more than likely done. Sony paid for a timed exclusive deal with a ludacris timeline. Timed exclusives started at a month, now they're a year with no price difference. I'd hate to see what happens next. It'll also be your turn next Sony. So when you get shafted on the next exclusive down the road I intend to show sympathy as I did with cod. Not all xbox players are jerks trying to troll you, just as I know for a fact not all Sony guys are asshats. There just appears to be an abundance of them on this forum. Good day guardians.

3 通の返信Don't understand the issue, Xbox 360 had pretty much every exclusive content on almost every quality game that entire last gen. PS3 users had to wait months to get dlc and now it's reversed and people lose their shit! I'm sure there will be a game for Xbox that gets exclusives before ps..stop bitchin!

Wow, and people wonder whats wrong with the game industry. It's pretty much slapping you in the face and people are still oblivious, the fact that the majority of you tried to use the problem as an argument or excuse against the OP just says is all tbh. What happens here on out is pretty much deserved is all i'm going to say.

2 通の返信You aren't paying the same for less content. Sony paid for the extra content to be made for playstation. Not like they cut content out just to give to us as an exclusive. Play on a better system ;)

Not trying to be a jerk but you might as well leave the game now then because it's not going to change until next fall. Sony and Activision have a contract and Activision isn't going to break it because a few Xbox users are upset.

You X-box users are lucky, no dust palace strike (when you get it you will learn to hate it) and no exotic shotgun (haven't seen this in pvp yet as it isn't out yet but I imagine the number of shotgun only players will increase as this weapon becomes more common). Only thing that makes me feel sorry for you is missing out on the Hawkmoon (brilliant gun)

The money you are giving then is less than the money Sony is for these exclusives.... They won't listen to this kind of whinging because they are contractually obligated to do these things by the large wads of money Sony lines their pockets with.

3 通の返信Im an xbox player, and this doesn't bother me, and want to know why? Because im smart to understand the fact that long ago it was announced that playstaion would get exclusives for destiny. They paid to get that. You knew there would be exclusives before this game even came out. Seriously, stop the bitching about this already.
