You've lost your mind, Bungie.
You know, I really don't mind that upgrading existing exotics requires waiting for xur and an exotic shard. What I do mind is being required to level the entire weapon up again, losing all that xp, time, glimmer and all the old shards, energy and mats. The mats I just bought. All that. Useless. They update the system and then wait days to tell us to not use any of them just yet?
Way to go on failing your entire userbase in one fell swoop.

5 通の返信Ive been with Destiny since the beta, if this actually goes down like this, im moving on to something else. Ive played many online multiplayer games/mmo's and I have never seen a dev team -blam!- over its community in such a short period of time of its games release as I have with Destiny and Bungie. Do these guys even want this game to succeed? I truly question them.

We should just have to level up the fresh nodes. Nobody - [i]nobody[/i] - would be bitching if Bungie had just done that. Nobody would have posted "Yeah, I think it would be better if you just reset the Exotic so I could lose all the materials I put into it and then I could spend days to level it all the way back up again to get to the new node." We have to remember that this sets the pace for future Light Level cap raises. I don't think anybody expects the game will stop at Light 32.

They are desperate now, milking us like a herd of unquestioning cattle. That's actually what I'm most angry about, their condescending lack of respect for their players. Players who invested time in their product. Complete utter shit. I have a day off work today, had intended to play later, now I feel like doing something a bit more worthwhile with my time.

wait dont play next dlc, because u know another dlc is coming in somewhen this 2015 and theyll will change the whole system again and fry us all again and again n the viscious circle goes n goes just dont play it im 3(different***) lvl30 and wasted my life time in this bs everything is negatif about this game now!... oh and peace iut too you all who will agree.

What should have happened is we should have just gotten a whole new set of exotics that out class the ones we have now so that we can spend all out times finding and leveling those up instead. I mean thats what others games do. I feel like I shouldn't have to make my current gear, which I spent a lot of time getting and leveling up and I'm very happy with, better to keep up with the higher level cap. Just give me all new gear so that all the time I spent getting my old gear has been worthless. That would make me feel better.

To be fair, the idea wouldn't be bad if there was only one expansion, the flaw is the fact that the same system will likely be used for expansion II. If that's the case then you may as well only upgrade your best exotics that you want to use in this raid, the rest would be a waste of time. Like a lot of people have said, buying an upgrade from Xur that adds extra upgrade damage nodes that take more XP than normal to unlock would have been a better system, which could carry over to future expansions, and less people would've been upset about it.

It wouldn't be so bad if bungie would comp the players like 2-3 exotic shards per character - giving us a jump start, or people with fully upgraded exotics have half of the new exotic tree filled up once they convert it. Just a thought. Not very happy about the "vanguard commendation" currency to buy legendaries. Just made it to rank 3 - now I need over 2000+ rep to get a commendation just buy a good legendary scout rifle - the RNG gods have not been very nice to my primary weapon slot.

It would be great if they started us at 300 at least. Also, I think many of us are assuming that anyone who has just received an exotic can take it directly to Xur and earn the upgrade. What if that exotic has to be maxed out before doing so? That would at least be fair to those who have already spent the time/glimmer/mats in upgrading it while also giving actual incentive to upgrade exotics in the first place. It would honestly just be better if we could keep our exotic abilities and just add a couple more nodes to level up. Its almost too easy of a solution.
