You've lost your mind, Bungie.
You know, I really don't mind that upgrading existing exotics requires waiting for xur and an exotic shard. What I do mind is being required to level the entire weapon up again, losing all that xp, time, glimmer and all the old shards, energy and mats. The mats I just bought. All that. Useless. They update the system and then wait days to tell us to not use any of them just yet?
Way to go on failing your entire userbase in one fell swoop.

Wait, so when you maxed your exotics did you place them in the vault and never use them again? I'm betting you continued to use them, and I am betting when you continued to use them they helped you get more loot.... If that's the case they paid for themselves by now most likely.

Thats cool. I guess they could pull exotic scaling, make it so you have to RNG all new gear and then you can level that up. Your old exotic's will then become as pointless as your current legendary items. All in all the outcome is the same with the exception of keeping the current exotics and their abilities relevant at level 32.

6 通の返信exotics are supposed to be exotic. You are not meant to have them all and fully lvl'd a few months after launch. What they did was flood the world with them so that people could get a feel for what gun and armour they Like best. Now you will have to focus on a certain play style more. I am only a few guns away from having all exotics. The way I see it they don't all need to be 320 dmg. Why? You will really only notice large differences in the hard raids and there are a lot of weapons you wouldn't take even if they were 320 dmg.

1 返信Just be thankful that exotics wont become obsolete with every update, sure it may take a bit more of a grind but they wont be useless down the road like many feared

From what I am reading and this is my opinion from this is that it reset's the abilities of the gun not the strength upgrades. So when you reset it, I image it would only take 5-10 bounty trade ins to make it effective again. But this is my speculation so not 100% sure on it.
