EXOTIC RESETS = BULLSHIT
If this is going to be the new system, it needs to be changed IMMEDIATELY. STOP with the grindfest and artificially padding playtime. Just make the game fun and the story engaging. THAT is what we all want.
*Edit - And only having Xur exchange some of the weapons each time is ANOTHER BS mechanic to pad playtime. Enough with this shit.
*Edit 2 - [b]To fix it, they just need to add 1-3 upgrade nodes to existing exotics to level them up from 300 to 330 or whatever.[/b]
*Edit 3 - DeeJ - there is no miscommunication, we just really hate this fuking change. It needs to die.
*Edit 4 - I am well aware no one is "forcing" us to upgrade. I read the updates. The point is that if you want to remain competitive in end game content (raid/nightfall/iron banner) then you will HAVE to upgrade. You just will. If you don't, you will be at a major disadvantage. Ever done the current hard raid without maxed weapons? Its terrible.
*Edit 5 - Will those few of you defending the reset or saying you don't mind still feel that way when you have to do it all over again when DLC #2 comes out in a few months?

1 返信I don't have a problem re-upgrading my exotics, because it re-forges my weapon to make it stronger. It in no way "resets" the weapon, but rather re-forges it to make it better. I don't like needing 7k glimmer, and an exotic shard, but it's whatever. In time all my things will be maxed once again. I don't care if the release 10 level caps; I will do it each time on my favorite exotics. I like this idea of having it reset, and anyone who complains can just not upgrade. Your choice

4 通の返信I agree, every few weeks Bungie seem to implement a new way to artificially 'pad' content etc. I only just noticed the reliance on Xur to upgrade exotics is another ploy to get everyone running around in circles all week.

7 通の返信Really don't see how anything in the new DLC is fair for players who have spend countless hours maxing guns and gear to hit level 30. New players can hit level 30 without doing the VoG, and jump right into the new Raid once they are 30, doing the VoG to completion should be a requirement. As for the gear and guns. Why does everyone who has already maxed their stuff have to re level stuff or see other people hit 30 much easier than they did it? Example of being unfair - My Gjallarhorn is maxed, and has been for some time now. If I reset for the more powerful version that's awesome but I lose my Homing Rocket and Wolfpack Rounds and keep 300 damage, cool whatever. Random person just gets a Gjallarhorn that day, trades it into Xur immediately without leveling it at all and now has a 300 damage version just like mine, but didn't have to spend any time farming, or leveling the damn gun. Give players who did shit the hard way something for doing it like Titanfall did with Generation 5 Gooser challenge, Give us a shader or something since we are basically being told hey sucks to be you, now everyone can do what took you a month or two to do in like 3 weeks.

I felt the same way until I realized I'm bitching about something that CoD has been doing for a while now...Prestiged Weapons...so honestly it's something I'm already used to. Either way they could have just left exotics the way they were and would have been useless while making you scramble for new (stronger) exotics all together. Side's if you depend that much on a yellow...you need to play around with your legendaries a bit more. Some out shine those exotics even minus one buff.

3 通の返信It looks like they're setting up in Tiers. If look at the pictures and video of the showing of the new strike you'll notice the legendary and exotic weapons have a 1 in the top right corner and the damage is 288/315. If I'm right that means you have to fully upgrade a weapon before trading it in and upgrading to Tier 2 which should start at 302/? damage. If this is the case, I am completely fine with this process.

32 通の返信Honestly, how long has it taken you to lvl a set of 3 weapons to max upgrade? A week? Two weeks? I've upgraded nearly every exotic I own, (which is all except Pocket Infinity,) to the 2nd perk at the very least. I would say half of them are maxed out. I've also maxed out probably 7-8 legendaries as well. It wasn't a grind at all. It was easy and occurred naturally. I haven't had any weapons or armor to upgrade in a few weeks until they fixed thorn and bad juju and I finally started on those two. They are both already nearly maxed. It isn't that difficult. This isn't call of duty. If you want everything handed to you, go back to your mothers house. [i]Or go upstairs and ask for a PB&J. She will hand that to you. Bungie will not hand out your progression.[/i]

8 通の返信Monkey -blam!-ing a coconut you don't have to reset your exotics to stay competitive!!! You can pick up one of the new -blam!-ing guns and use that! Or the weekend after Dark Below lands buy a new -blam!-ing exotic from Xur! Let me ask you this: how is resetting your current maxed exotic and re-leveling it any -blam!-ing different than leveling a new Dark Below weapon? It's not. Either way you have to gather mats and level it.

It makes all the work I have done over the past 2 months practically useless and makes the time I have invested worthless. Bungie is just proving them self incompetent over and over. How they dont understand this shits all over endgame players and what was pretty much the only thing to do after maxing out at 30 (leveling exotics) is jut beyond me, WHO THE -blam!- THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA. @Bungie: this move will re-enforce to endgame players that there is no value to continue playing after obtaining you max light. By reseting the major thing to do after obtaining 30 (leveling exotics) you basically send the message that there is no point to continue playing your game after the raid. This is just simply a stupid and ignorant idea. You will lose players over this.

1 返信The only thing I don't like is having to wait for xur in order to further upgrade the weapons I already have. If I could immediately start upgrading when the dlc released I would be fine with it because they said it would be much easier to upgrade exotics. I was told that I would have to wait for xur in order to upgrade my exotics and that he may or may not have the exotic I am wanting to upgrade. If I am wrong about this it would be nice to know

Easy to find out, those oppose exotic reset have played 2-3 months or have over 20 exotics in their vault. On the other hand, MOST of those who agree exotic reset have played 1-2 months or they don't have over 20 exotics in their vault. While few of those who agree exotic reset claims that destiny is MMO and therefore compare it with Wow to make themselves feel better. With no doubts, of cause those new comers want the exotic rest. But to those who claims that destiny is MMO. Here is an example, before the internet and computers, we used to use mail right? Now the society changed, many people use e-mail instead of mail. Are they wrong because they don't use mail anymore?
