So you're going to make us re-level all our exotics in the DLC?
I'm okay with the upgrading exotics through RNG/Xur a week and the glimmer cost, but making us re-level the whole damn weapon/armor? Maybe I might be getting my panties in knots over nothing but seems kind of counter productive.
I know, I know it doesn't take that long to level a piece of gear up, but couldn't they just add more nodes to the tree?

EDIT: Seems people are thinking I am advocating a free ride to the new version exotics, I am not. I want some kind of work involved in that respect. I would like to seem some compensation for the time/materials/work invested into the old version exotics, for instance more upgrade nodes.

I've had nothing but positive to say about the game to this point, and honestly the rest of the updates I see as positive as well. This is the one that just doesn't make sense to me, it over complicates a process that doesn't need to be. You already have the exotic gear, Bungie wants it to stay a step above other Legendary gear it seems. Why can't we just have the option to add another upgrade node to our exotic gear? Hell make us buy the upgrade node from Xur if you want. Equip the node, use the gear to upgrade it, spend your glimmer and exotic shard to bring it up to the same light level and damage/defense that the current raid gear has. Simple

Personally I feel that this is a HUGE slap in the face to all of us who have put in so much time into this game. Again, I don't mind the rest of what we have to do like buying the upgraded version from Xur. However I WHOLEHEARTEDLY disagree with the decision of resetting all progression.

2 通の返信....And i'm done with this game. Just bought a ton of games on Black Friday anyway. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm more pissed about increasing the levels of the Nightfall and Heroics. Is the new Legendaries in the Tower going to have enough light to increase beyond 30? If so, then that's even less of a reason for people to buy the DLC. And the Vanguard/Credible leveling thing to buy armor is bullshit. Bungie has -blam!-ed up Destiny good.

5 通の返信I have 19 unique exotic weapons. Bungie wants me to reset all of my progress on all of those? I'm assuming this will happen again in expansion 2? That's way too much grinding.

I have a serious problem with this, when I'm playing destiny, I like to raid, do strikes and complete a few bounties, from time to time I have to go out and grind things, I've been grinding for weeks to upgrade my guns and armor across 3 characters. Now you're telling me if I want my exotic weapon to deserve the slot for the next raid, I have to do all that grinding again? Honestly this is a joke, I love this game and love playing it, yesterday when I bought hundreds of materials I was so happy. But now instead of using those materials to upgrade new guns and armor, I have to re-upgrade my current ones first? And what about the rediculous amount of shards and energy I put into them? Can I get them back from dismantling current max legendaries? If not than this is utter failure. I'm sorry but this is just bad, bad for business and bad for the consumer, bungie you done f'd up now.

4 通の返信So one thing Im not clear on, when we upgrade the exotic and the perks are reset Im assuming that means the damage/stats are also reset. IE, a 300 level exotic weapon will drop to the new base of 274. Then I can upgrade to approx 320? Or is the new base of the weapon 300 with the max raised to approx 320?

remember, the easiest thing, which would have required no work at all on bungies end, would be to leave all of your exotics.. as they are, truly outdated. they spent time to give you the option to keep them current.. I can't wait to feel under-gunned again.. yes they should tweak the xp required to level weapons as a general change.. but other than that.. really not as big of a deal as it's being made.

Yes I think it's a retarded idea, I get bored of grinding anyways not I got to start over if I want an edge in iron banner or in PVE? Bungie just doesn't realize what the people want or doesn't care, kinda like the gov. Lol
